I like building up  trust between my team mates but in Me2 it felt as though i couldnt talk to some of them without trying to establish a relationship. I want branching squadmate conversation paths one of which leads to romance the other leading to becoming a more trusted friend. Sometimes to me it felt like my Shepard wasnt allowed to care about women unless he wanted to park the pink porpoise.

Agreed. I got annoyed with some of the relationships in ME2; if you aren't pursing them romantically, they'll stop talking with you. It was irritating.

I liked it in ME1, when you could talk for ages with your teammates (ignoring the damn ninjmances) and it was great to just be friends with them.

The more interaction the better as far as I'm concerned. You have to hit a dead end eventually, I suppose, but anyway, I support as much expansion of the relationships as possible, for friendships as well as romance. I also like the idea of a rivalry developing in certain cases, but that's probably not on the table for ME.

Agreed. We need a clearer divide between romantic and non-romantic dialogue tangents, the DA2 idea wasn't that bad.

I don't want to see another case of no romance = no dialogue options.

I'd also like to see this. Sometimes I would try to be nice and get to know someone and then the only path left was full LI. I'm all for developing friendships.

I asked about something similar to this during the Q&A with Mike Gamble. I believe Casey confirmed that their trying to add in friendship dialog for ME3.

Hmm if it's already confirmed then thats all good news. Guess im not that good at researching excactly whats been announced and stuff. I was kind of afraid that SS romances would kill any option I had of making any friends lol. Not that I am against SS relationships it's not my thing but if it is it's easy enough to record a few lines of dialogue so people can get what they want out of the game. I was just afraid id have to sit in my cabin with a taser in hand while my crew banged on the door like a bunch of brain starved zombies sobbing and muttering "I just wanted to be friends!" XD

This would be great. I think, beyond his quests, I've had maybe the first 2-3 conversations with Jacob and that's it. After that, Femshep throws herself back on the table spread-eagled and calls him "Mr. Taylor" like she wants to eat him. It skeeves me out every time.

Yeah - they basically make Femshep out to be a drunken road**** thats addicted to trousersnake and manseed.

In my opinion, its the worst part of the game - knowing that some sicko on the Dev team thought that this was acceptable.

I hope you can continue talking to team mates even if its not romantically. Garrus was the one that annoyed me most in ME2. I felt as if my femshep just walked into a wall. I liked how my friendship with Jacob turned out. Saying that we'll basically get drunk. I liked Samara as a friend too. I do hope that we will be able to pursue strong friendships and bonds in ME3 which dont have to lead to the dirty.  Image IPB
