I'm on my 3rd "perfect" game in ME2. I'm opening up romances with Tali, Miranda and Ashley for ME3.
I was thinking about it and I realised that all my games are imports from my main ME1 Shep, who romanced Ashley.
Has BW released any information about romance in ME3 involving "cheating" on your ME1 LI. I would really hate to start ME3 and get to a point where the story changes for the worst because I cheated on Ashley with Tali. Such as not being able to get the "perfect" Talimance or ending.
I would hate to start ME1 over again just to have a "single" Shep, and have to beat ME2 another 2 times for these situations.
I really wish I would have thought about it at first.
Just in case, does Genesis allow you to be "single" in ME2?

genesis does allow to to be single. I'm not sure about the xbox but the ps3 version allows you to pick "the mission comes first"

Well they are supposedly doing something like the comic with ME3, so you could just wait until it comes out to do that.

I heard that also about the comic for ME3.
Only problem would be that most of the choices from ME1 and 2 would be left out. I believe only 6 choices can be made from the Genesis comic?
I don't mind playing through ME2 a couple more times. I just really don't want to beat ME1 again, just to be single. I think I will DL Genesis and do it that way.
I still have plenty of time before ME3.

I really doubt the game is going to prevent you from pursuing a given romance to its fullest due to previous entanglements. If anything, you might get some enjoyable confrontations to deal with.
At worst, you might have trouble getting back together with your ME1 romance if you cheated in ME2, but that doesn't appear to be the scenario you are concerned about.

No, I'm making perfect saves for Ashley, Tali and Miranda.
I'm doind this to see how much it changes the story of ME3. Plus ME is the only series of games I have ever put this many hours into. I want to milk it for all it is worth.
I just don't want to be 80% through ME3 on my "Talimance" save and have some really bad incident occure because I was not 100% loyal to that character. Same with the others.
I'm sure that I'm putting way too much thought into it, but just incase!
Plus, the conflict between ME1 and ME2 LI's could be interesting.

Well, if you're worried that, for example, a Tali romance in ME3 cannot be concluded because you originally romanced Ash all the way back in ME1, then I'm pretty confident you have nothing to worry about. But, hey, you never know, I guess.
