Hey all! The title says it all. After the Suicide mission in my most recent game, I went down from the captain's cabin to have a "Victory Lap" around the Normandy. Whenever I take the elevator up to the captain's cabin after this, however, the game gets stuck on the loading screen, crashes, and doesn't respond. Every time it's happened, I had to force a shutdown, as it completely locked the computer up.

Some info that may or may not be relevant to the problem:

*Romanced Miranda.

*Has Alternate Appearance pack 2.

*Has all the trinkets from the game in the cabin (Prothean relic from Firewalker, N7 helmet from crash site, all model ships, trinkets from LotSB)

*Purchased and downloaded through steam.

*Computer has integrated graphics (AKA terrible), so I had to run it at lowest resolution.

*Game had black lines everywhere when first installed. Rolling back graphics card driver fixed that.

I should note that this has never happened before. I've played the game at least seven times on my (Admittedly not very good) computer, but never had this problem before. Just this time.

Did I just get a bad download? Was there a hiccup when the game area loaded after the Suicide Mission? I have no idea, and it's irking me. If you could help me, I'd greatly appreciated it.

If you played it 7 times do you have an old save that you can try and see if it is related to your one save/game or if it is in every game. This will tell us if it is a corrupted save or a corrupted game file.

Just got back from testing:

*all other playthroughs, I was able to go up to cabin after Suicide Mission.

*Recent Playthrough: Can go to cabin BEFORE suicide mission. If I go to cabin afterwards, load, crash, reboot.

*Ran through Suicide Mission again, to see if it happened again. It did. Same exact problem.

Maybe I just got a bad download or something. I have a feeling it only happened because I romanced Miranda. Maybe the files messed up for the snuggling in the cabin, so it bugs out every time.

I've noticed that a lot of little hiccups are in the game too. The button to talk to the Illusive Man in the comm room can't be pressed unless standing at a specific angle. Always lags when walking through the Normandy CIC.

I attributed these hiccups to the crummy graphics card I had. Maybe this Miranda bug is one of them too.

I'll be getting a new laptop soon (Gotta love college  ), so I'll try it out on that. Thanks for helping.

Sounds like a corrupted save then, you may get lucky if you view it with an editor and find a correctable issue.

Bad graphics cards can cause some of it as well, but is less likely in this case. It probably is causing the lag and button issues.
