Believe it or not, I like the depth of field effect because I think it improves the visual quality for me, just because I'm playing in a lower resolution than my monitor's primary, due to my graphics card not being quite powerful enough.
I have an Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT with 1GB of GFXRAM.
DirectX 11 is installed and I have Windows 7 Ultimate Edition and have not installed Service Pack 1 due to issues I've heard about.
But I played ME2 on this same computer even before I upgraded to Windows 7, and the depth of field effect did a good effort to 'hide' the jagged edges and low detail I was experiencing at my 1280x720 resolution, on my 1680x1050 monitor. But now, ever since I installed Windows 7, and installed and played ME2, the depth of field effect doesn't work at all.
I even got the RCW ME2 Mod Manager and checked the Colesced.ini file, and Depth of Field is selected as True, and I did no tweaking whatsoever. I even took the .ini file from the ME2 install disc and copied it over and replaced my current one to see if that would make a difference, but it didn't.
What do I do? >.<
Depth of field won't work no matter what
