I plan to prostitute myself to 800 fat chicks for $0.10 a pop to afford ME3. Been at it for 3 months now. Still haven't found a client interested :(

Turns out fat chicks have standards, eh?

Are you serious?  I think you'd find natural selection would have rooted out the people who do things that are potentially idiotic on impulse (like buying DA2) rather than evaluating their options and considering the available information first.

Play ME1/ME2 and spent time in the ME3 forums yet be hasitant on buying ME3. Oh yes, very normal.

Yes, indeed, very normal.  Some on these forums loved ME1 and hated ME2, or vice versa, and have yet to decide whether ME3 will be going down the path more of the first or the second game.  If it is going to be similar to the one that they greatly disliked, it's a no-buy without any doubt.

I loved reading this! Lol this had me excited for you!

I pre-ordered CE from gamestop but allowed for 1-3 days for processing and  5-10 business days for shipping. So...it'll probably be awhile after everyone else playing the game. I'll probably avoid BSN like the plauge until I get it in the mail lol.

I've preordered the N7 edition. To be honest I'm worried about all the RPG elements and increased combat and all that, but even if it proves out my fears I will love it with all of my heart.

Yeah, because following a series for 6 years and finally seeing how it ends isn't worth it. If there are some who do not purchase it for the reasons you claim, then it'll actually feed the "natural" "selection" thing he said.

Indeed, very creepy.

I think they will deliver on the RPG more than ME2 did. They're just reacting to the critcism that they spoiled too much of ME2 by showing us very little of ME3's story and character elements.

I'm waiting a little to see if any distributors come out with cool preorder bonuses but if nothing of the sort comes up before the holiday season, I'll preorder the N7 edition through Gamestop and pick it up at the midnight release. The atmosphere at any midnight release is fun; I can only imagine it'd be even more exhilarating with the final game of a trilogy.

Posted Image What does a desire to see the conclusion of a plot have to do with natural selection?  Nothing at all.

Further, and this ties in with what I wrote above, there are people on the forums who feel ME2 had an awful overarching plot, and if ME3 continues in that direction, have little interest in purchasing it.

Thanks for helping my point. If they played ME2 and hated it, yet spent time on the forums, then odds are they'll play ME3. If they can't decide then they're brain matter is very low.

If you were truly disgrunted with something, you'd avoid it, not spent time in a place dedicated to the discussion of it.

I hated ME2 - and I'm on these forums.  I know multiple other people who are as well.  Am I here because I am desperate to play ME3?  Hell no.  The game falls into my 'meh' category of interest for now.  I am here because I generally enjoy being on the BSN, and have been here for many many years, long before ME1 was even a concept.

To further that, I played DA2 and hated it.  I still occasionally spend some time on the DA2 boards.  Odds are I will definately not play DA3.

I played Deus Ex: Invisible War and hated it.  I've spent a good deal of time on the DX:HR boards, but will be waiting for a few more reviews before I make a decision to buy it or not.

It's not really that hard of a concept to get your head around.

Some people buy on impulse, and will buy anything and everything that their favorite company makes, absolutely regardless of it's quality or any information about it.  Other people prefer to do some research and determine whether or not they will enjoy the game, before making a purchase decision.

If you were truly disgrunted with something, you'd avoid it, not spent time in a place dedicated to the discussion of it.

Fortunately, the ME3 boards are not dedicated to the discussion of ME2.

Tell yourself wathever you want. The truth is there, on you're psych, it's called denial because you want to win this argument.. Not desperate? Me neither. It's just a game. If you're desperate for a game then you have bigger problems.

Not yet preordered, however I am not sure which version I'll get or whether it'll be physical or digital. Chances are that if it is Origin-only I'll get a physical one, and if it is Steam I'll probably get that. However if it requires Origin to run regardless of whether I bought it on Steam, refer to my first option. The game version I get depends on money and when more info about preorder DLC comes to light, because if there is actual content that I would miss out on without the collector's edition, then I'll probably get it.

Well the nearest video game store to me is in the new 'murder capital' of Scotland. I think I'll go ahead and check the option for home delivery.

Posted Image What part of what you just wrote makes any sense, or is related to our discussion at all?

This isn't an argument.  Let's review what has been said so far:

1) Longsword-83 and I have a brief discussion about whether natural selection should have rooted out those that act on impulse with no information, or those that wait for information before deciding on their actions.

2) You assert that anybody who has played ME1 and ME2, and spends some amount of time on the ME3 forums, who is not going to buy ME3 on impulse, should have been rooted out by natural selection.

3) I explain to you why there are are people on these forums who will not be buying ME3 on impulse, giving some examples along the way.

4) You reassert your above argument, and add that  'they're brain matter is very low' (the irony contained within that phrase is quite amusing).

5) You finish up with a fishing reference that is completely unrelated to anything.

6) I give further examples and clarification of why people would be on these forums and still not guaranteed to purchase ME3 on impulse.

7) You post the above.

I'm gonna go to Gamestop. I'm gonna pick up my pre-ordered CE. Then I'm gonna go home, boot up ME3, and lock myself in my room for the rest of the week.

At my local Gamestop the guy there tells me there will be bonuses there, and that's where my preorder is, but they've yet to find out what they will be.

Yes, because it really amazes me how few people know, or bothered to know, that ME and DA are developed by two completaly different teams.

Yeah, yet people that are skeptical always say "but DA2".  Besides if you have played the first two Mass Effects how could you not want to get the third one just to see how everything comes together and plays out?  I don't get people that have played the first two but are unsure about getting the third.  To me it is a no brainer.

Just because I've pre ordered the CE does not mean I think Bioware has not messed up the last couple of game they've released.

...Why don't you like anything?!?!?!  I am one of the most cynical people I know, and I sure as hell disagree with the direction DA2 took (it doesn't hold a candle to origins), but I still enjoyed it quite a bit.  I know this has nothing to do with your argument (which I'm fairly sure you won by the way haha).
