I hated ME2 - and I'm on these forums.  I know multiple other people who are as well.  Am I here because I am desperate to play ME3?  Hell no.  The game falls into my 'meh' category of interest for now.  I am here because I generally enjoy being on the BSN, and have been here for many many years, long before ME1 was even a concept.

To further that, I played DA2 and hated it.  I still occasionally spend some time on the DA2 boards.  Odds are I will definately not play DA3.

I played Deus Ex: Invisible War and hated it.  I've spent a good deal of time on the DX:HR boards, but will be waiting for a few more reviews before I make a decision to buy it or not.

...Why don't you like anything?!?!?!  I am one of the most cynical people I know, and I sure as hell disagree with the direction DA2 took (it doesn't hold a candle to origins), but I still enjoyed it quite a bit.  I know this has nothing to do with your argument (which I'm fairly sure you won by the way haha).

lol, I like plenty of games - just not Bioware's most recent 2.

My personal Bioware favorites are:

BG2
KOTOR
DA:O

A few other games that I am exceptionally fond of:

* Chrono Trigger
* Half-Life
* Starcraft
* FF6
* Halo:CE
* The Witcher
* Deus Ex (the original)
* Ninja Gaiden (Black preferred)

Retail unless the impossible happens and it shows up for Steam preorder, besides I'm going for the CE so I kinda want the physical book and especially the litho will look nice all framed next to my shiny new bought-for-BF3-and-ME3 computer!

Whew, ok good.  I was worried about you there.  After all, if we can't at least enjoy video games, how are we supposed to enjoy any other part of life?  Certainly not our jobs.

By the way, as soon as this whole "SWTOR" thing blows over, Bioware should make something that's actually fun, like KOTOR 3.  Or a remake of the original game, but with 10x the amount of content.

Heh - actually I do generally enjoy my job, and in some ways, for somewhat similar reasons as to why I enjoy gaming. But, that's an aside.

I would love for Bioware to make another KOTOR game, as KOTOR is one of my favorite games, and I have no interest in MMORPGs - but as they've said before, TOR is KOTOR 3/4/5/6 and 7 all in one, or something to that effect.

I figure I'll just watch the youtube clips concerning all plot points relating to Revan (the only plot strand that I really care about), and ignore the rest.

Are you an undercover Bioware developer???  And you keep your identity secret so you can interact authentically with fans and denounce DA2???  I'm humbled to be speaking with you, my friend.

Also, my SWTOR was meant to be facetious haha.  I am quite aware BW self-destructed that franchise from ever being great again.  But I still occasionally dream that kotor 3, a REAL kotor 3, has been announced with graphics even better than the Mass Effect series.  Ah, to dream.

Well, Origins won't be my plan, it is just EA's service renamed. I've already been burned by that service twice. I have bought two games through them, that I can no longer download because EA simply erased them from the service with no explanation, they just decides they wouldn't support them further. You can't run a digital download service by cutting support for games like EA does.

Sorry no Origins for me. Essentially 125 bucks wasted on EA download games they stopped supporting with no reimbursment.

Good luck with Origins, they will support triple A titles, I am sure. Just don't buy an obscure game through them and expect to have it supported a year later.

lol, can't say I am a Bioware developer - though I'm sure I'd enjoy some aspects of developing a game!

I also have that dream... Posted Image

If ME3 is not available on Steam then it will be my last EA purchase. The only other EA product I look forward to is BF3, but there are worse disappointments.

Pick up the CE from EB Games, walk 30 feet to my work and tell them not to call me for a week, walk the two blocks home, pop the disc into my 360, download the freebie goodness, close my door and play until I pass out. Why yes, I lead a rich and fulfilling life.

Sounds rich and fulfilling to me!

I'm sure I won't even touch another game till I've done at least 3 playthroughs, hopefully by then there will be a quick money grab DLC that they designed specifically for suckers like me to buy.

I found ME1 used for 5 bucks, took it back and bought the one with DLC for 9 bucks used.
ME1 compelled me to pre-order the collector's edition of ME2. (I never pre-ordered before, not my thing)
I regret buying the collector's edition of Me2.
I was on the fence about about purchasing ME3 as a preorder.
Bioware released interviews.  I started to descend.
Bioware released videos.  I climbed back up.
Bioware made the rpg comments.  I made my way back down the fence.
Bioware released videos of the the blade.
Bioware defended the blade.
I hopped off the fence.  On the non-preorder side.
Bioware never bought me a beer.
Now I'm a sad panda.

In exactly that order.

Exactly like this except the driving part because I can't... you know, drive.

This is the end of Shepard's story, for me, that's like, a requirement to get the Collector's Editon.

As much as I want to get it as soon as it comes out, for financial reasons I'm going to have to wait until there's a really good sale or the price drops.

I did the same thing with DA2 (yes, I liked it let's not derail this thread) and it worked out well...the sale came the same time as the 1.03 patch and fo rthe first time in a while I didn't have a single CTD while playing!

If the CE comes out anyway in the UK except Game I'll pre-order it. Otherwise, I'll pre-order the standard edition around the end of November. I really want the CE, but I'm not paying £70 on it when the game alone can be found for £35 - the extra stuff in there isn't worth the price of an extra game to me, not when I'm got student accommodation to pay for.

you forgot something i gaurantee your going to do.

Way ahead of ya chief. I think I'll be done with Alexander Shepard ver. 5 and Jeanne Shepard ver. 3 by that point, plus the countless OtherSheps.

I find it somewhat pathetic that most of my hard drive space on my 360 consists of Mass Effect DLC and saves. Then again, I really don't care.

No the N7 edition isn't a pre-order exclusive.  But the belief is that the Collectors Edition has a limited number of copies so by the time it gets released it is entirely possible there will be no N7 Collector Editions left for you to buy.  So the only way to ensure you get a copy of the Collectors Edition is to pre-order it.

I can't really help you out there, I live in the UK (Ok we are sorta part of Europe when we want to be :P) and I know they have limited availability of the CE version of ME 3 to just one company called "GAME" (yeah nice one EA , way to foster competition there).

The best thing I can suggest is you get on the net and find out which retailer will be selling the CE version in your country and whether you can order it online or pick it up.
