This is something that has bothered me for a long time, since before I even played Mass Effect. I'm sure you all remember Fox New's "Se-xbox report". They claimed that ME showed full frontal nudity when nailing Liara. Thats hogwash, you see almost nothing in that scene. You see more T&A at a beach, in Wal-mart or in High school.

After seeing a thread about ME2 Nude mods, I decided I should say something about this. If Bioware has the balls to show Kelly getting liquidized (oficially one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen) I think we can show some boobies in the next game. Someone made a similar arguement for DA, saying that if you can decapitate Loghain in front of his daughter, Morrigan can afford a nip slip.

This serves a few purposes. One, it would awesome, ME3 deserves something like this, since so few games do it. Second, it would be a step toward stopping this sex is 20x worse then violence BS America has going right now.

Who votes ME3 should have nudity?

No 80's style gratuitous sex scenes thank you, however, That fact that there was almost nothing before the fade to black was a bit... underwhelming for the culmination of a cinematic romance.

This would hardly make it an interactive porno. I'm not voting to show Tali getting pounded, just Jacks nips (thats all we dont see) for a minute.

Adding nudity just because it's an M rated game so we can is a really stupid reason for nudity. Nudity wouldn't have added anything to the pre-suicide scenes. Shepard and Garrus touching foreheads showed a lot more intimacy between those characters than Liara crawling up Shepard naked did.

No on nudity, not that I am against it, its just not worth it for the possibility of the game moving to adult only territory. I do think they need to make a move back to the tasteful PG scenes of the original ME, which you could easily find on any prime time television show.

I am not demanding that Bioware show skin but I will not object if they do. I HATE going half way though. If you are going to go through the trouble of rendering a long sex scene like DA:O why bother with the underwear? Why all the ME2 dry humping? Either cut to black like DA2 or use strategic camera angles if you do not want to show nudity.

Plenty of game devs will do nudity. Bioware's not one of them, they're too afraid.

Nips are almost certainly out of the question, and for good reason. (younger audience + Fox News + ....)

Besides, ME2 was absolutely loaded with absolutely shameless boob and ass shots. Go talk to Jack or Miranda.

That scene was disturbing. The idea behind that scene being good to show highlights the disconnect between something gory being approved for public consumption and a bare breast being the embodiment of all that is evil in the world especially since there must be a reason for nudity to be shown.

I've racked my brain trying to find a reason for nudity to be included in any story and am at a loss for possible ideas. On the other hand I can think of many good true narrative reasons for including a scene where someone's head explodes and leaves pieces of flesh on the walls, the floor, on people, etc. Absolute gold.

Worth mentioning I think is that done tasefully, nudity would be a lot more mature than Miranda in a cat suit parking her ass in front of the camera every five minutes.

Last time I checked, you don't have sex in your underwear. Unless you've got a fetish or something idk lol.
My point with this was, if the game is already M rated because of amass amounts of violence, why not show some side boob. Maybe its just me, but DA2 kicked up the violence, and toned down the sex, as in, it doesn't exist.

I agree with you though, I think that Mature games made for an adult audiance should reflect that in the content. I'm not saying there should be pixle porn but that it's in game content should be appropriate to it's audience. If Mass Effect was a film and not a game, no one would be shocked or appalled by a sex scene between the protagonist and his love intrest in the film. I think the same should go for games.

If video games want to be taken seriously as an art form on par with film, then why not act like it? Treat the protagonists relationships with other characters as seriously as they do in films without the childish "OMG I saw a boob!" bullsh¡t. It's already accepted by mainsteam film, I see no reason for it to be different with video games. That applies as much to sexual scenes as it does to those with violence and swearing, if the script calls for it then thats that. If it doesn't then don't add it in just for the sake of it, but if your making a game that's 18 rated with mature themes throught the game, why suddenly backpedal when it comes to sex?

If you want an audience to engage with these characters on an emotional level that's on par with books and film, then the subject matters tackled in books and in film shouldn't be shied away from. Wether that be violence, depictions of drug use, swearing or scenes of a sexual nature. It's this shyness that prevents games producing classics on par with the likes of Trainspotting and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Which I believe it has the potential to do.

Well that's not really possible, because Shepard can be either sex, and the multiple options, especially if everyone is a s/s option. TW2 has static models, for your character and the person your having sex with in an individual scene. You would eget an even more generalized scene than you got in ME1, with all the different aliens and such, I don't see them doing 15 different scenes of that caliber. Unless of course you just mean the nudity seen in TW2.

Where is there nudity there? The sex with the redhead contessa (the name escapes me....) at the start? Huh... reminded me of ME1.
