Nudity wouldn't really adda anything, in my mind. They had pixel sex. Me seeing a pixel nipple or whatever doesn't make it more believable. But to each his own, right?

in GTA4: Lost and the Damned expansion thing, theres a scene where your character is talking to a guy in a bathhouse and he's just flopping in the breeze showing everything, the scene was hilarious. i laughed my ass off. oddly enough after playing all of GTA4 and its 2 expansions i dont remember seeing a single female nipple, but that was fine too.

nudity can be funny, it can be loving, it can be erotic, ect. theres tons of stuff that it can be. why shut it out for no reason other than "im dumb and nudity offends me"

I live in the U.K. on the rare occasion I have seen Fox news the blatant ignorance of the people who are on it is shameful. If they thought ill of any of my work I wouldn't be worried, I don't think Bioware should be either.

However this has the potential of getting the thread locked for being off topic.

My point is any reasonable human being wouldn't object to nudity if it's tasteful and handled in a mature manner by the story tellers who included it. Whether that be in film, books, tv, or on canvas.

If it wasn't that they claim nudity to be wrong, then I wouldn't care. They just don't want it. But they do claim it's wrong, yet they do it themselves if they have wifes/girlfriends/genitalia.

I want to prove those people wrong one day. Like I said, Humanity has a lot of growing up to do.

I'm on the pro nudity side and I agree with you.  

It's entirely funny and sad that many of the people (I don't know if this applies to anyone here) who say no to nudity in the media have very adventurous sex lives that would cause them shame if any of it were to be found out.  I'm especially baffled by the people who tell others to go watch porn if they're excited by pixels as if the porn they're watching isn't pixellated either.  Unless that porn shoot isn't occurring, live,  in your home you're getting excited by pixels.  It's even worse if many of these same people subscribe to pornographic magazines which are almost all airbrushed anyway.

Honestly....who actually subscribes to magazines? Let me guess, on top of your extensive experience with video game sex scenes, you are also a subscriber, as well?

Anyhow, who really cares about this nerdfest topic when ME has proven to have such great storyline, combat and characters. I dont want anything, ANYTHING, to take away from those core elements to the game in it's finale.

Fox News jumped on a sensational opportunity that turned out to be very poorly researched and speaks to their standards, but you'll find many corporate-owned media tend to run with things even if they're not entirely true if it fits their particular world-view.

Poor research or not, Fox news also has MUCH higher viewership than any of their competitors. Whatever they're doing, it's working, depressing as it may be.

I think there wouldn't be a repeat of the incident, but it's obvious from the way things have progressed since ME1 that Bioware or whoever's holding the purse strings would rather not take the risk. I don't think there is any. I mean, TW2's scenes are as pornographic as you're going to get without showing any actual sex and they haven't had a lick of blowback from that.

Hell, the Polish even gave a copy to Obama!

If the game was played where everybody had invisible clothes and let it all hang out the entire game, then it is stupid and adds nothing except excite kids who shouldn't be playing the game anyways.

I mean....really? Why does seeing some tata's on a screen really matter to you? I'm being serious too? Why do you care so much about this? No problem if you get off on pixels...everyone has their likes I reckon.

Anyhow, I would much rather see the work going into important things like ...... oh I dont know ...... story line for the Reapers, combat ..... you know.....the stuff that actually we will be doing in the game when some "men" are too busy with their hent....oh nevermind.

Violence is worthless to a story.  You don't need the depiction of a crime to indicate that violence occurred yet we go out of our way to show it.  In fact, we go so far so we don't half-ass it.  Why?  What would showing some guy's head blowing up do for me or anyone else?  What would seeing someone shot do for me or anyone else?  You don't need to see a gun.  You don't need blood spray.  You don't need to see a bullet wound.  None of that is needed to tell a good story yet we do it, it's accepted, and often times championed.  "Did you see that shot?!"  "Wicked!"  "Did you see when that guy's arm was torn off?"  "That was gross man.  Haha."

Just wanted to add, that the idea of nudity being tasteful is incredibly subjective. The only requirement for nudity to be taken seriously is that it's treated with respect. It's the same way you show respect for a relationship between two people or a homosexual relationship. So long as it's respected there shouldn't be too many problems.
