I liked the romance scenes in ME1. The nudity helped convey a sense of love and intimacy between Shep and his/her LI. The scene with Miranda in ME2 on the other hand just seemed like mindless sex. It felt awkward and inappropriate.

If showing some skin can add meaning or substance to the relationship then I'm all for it, otherwise it's unnecessary.

Personally I think liberals (and I am not even a Republican) are the internal terrorists of the world that have ruined (or tried to) basically everything. Thankfully (in this country at least), the midterms proved that the average American is sick of them. Would love to see some liberal fight for their country.

I live in the U.K. on the rare occasion I have seen Fox news the blatant ignorance of the people who are on it is shameful. If they thought ill of any of my work I wouldn't be worried, I don't think Bioware should be either.

However this has the potential of getting the thread locked for being off topic.

My point is any reasonable human being wouldn't object to nudity if it's tasteful and handled in a mature manner by the story tellers who included it. Whether that be in film, books, tv, or on canvas.

How is the UK lately, anyhow? I remember watching Fox News and them showing total destruction via fires set by scumbags en masse that were angry about not getting their welfare checks?

I really hope that nobody responds to the above. You guys are getting way to excited. 

On the topic, I know this has been stated but I don't really care about the level of nudity in the game as long as it is tasteful. I do think that the taboo needs to stop though; there is no reason for people to gasp and cover their (and other people's) eyes when they see the side of a woman's breast for a matter of seconds. It's just the human body. We've all got one and by now and as a species you'd think that we would be used to seeing them...

i dont really get why people seem to think its a huge deal. ive played many games that have come out after ME1 that had nudity far more extreme than the sideboob ME1 had.

LA noire - multiple nude female corpses.
red dead redemption - female bush.
witcher 1&2 - lots of nudity in general lol
god of war 3 - female nudity.
dragon age origins- brood mother *shudders*

its not really a big issue anymore, fox news sorta jumped on a story and learned their lesson.

also. the supreme court ruled that video games count as art and are protected under the first amendment. so fox news jumping on it agian wouldnt make any sense.

its not a big deal, i dont see why people are against it. but of course crushing peoples skulls and throwing them off cliffs is 100% alright for children to see, but to understand sexuality HELL NAH!

Well, despite what it says about society, people are more willing to accept violence in their entertainment mediums before they are willing to accept nudity. And as long as that holds true, I don't think BioWare, or anyone else should ignore it when it comes to content for their products. How many new "fans" would that bring in anyway? Certainly not enough that they could make up for all the potential ones that they could lose. A prude's money is just as good as yours or mine.

And, as good as a game as TW2 was, I don't think we should rush to implement their interpretation as the new industry standard, either. A lot of scenes seemed to be in there just to push the envelope. Maybe it's just me, but I hardly saw any intimacy there at all. Not to mention that "real sex" involves more than supermodels and others with unrealistic proportions going at it. It's like saying that porn is a realistic example.

That being said, I have absolutely zero problems with nudity in entertainment (if it's done right) and nudity in general. I just believe that if it's not going to add anything to the product other than pure titillation, then it really doesn't need to be bothered with, regardless of whether or not it's a boundary that people need to start breaking more.

Good answer, but I can easily counter it with "why should it be left to the imagination?". It's real, it happens in real life, why not in a video game that mimics real life?

It happening in real life isn't an arguement. Lot's of things happen n real life that we don't get to see. Other things happen that we'd bever want to see.

But back to the topic. It's one thing to see nudity. You play a game, and there's a seen with some naked chick(handled with care). "Oh look. A naked chick."

It's a nother thing to not see a naked chick, and ask why not. "This game could've used some breasts".

I mean....really? Why does seeing some tata's on a screen really matter to you? I'm being serious too? Why do you care so much about this? No problem if you get off on pixels...everyone has their likes I reckon.

Anyhow, I would much rather see the work going into important things like ...... oh I dont know ...... story line for the Reapers, combat ..... you know.....the stuff that actually we will be doing in the game when some "men" are too busy with their hent....oh nevermind.

Violence is worthless to a story.  You don't need the depiction of a crime to indicate that violence occurred yet we go out of our way to show it.  In fact, we go so far so we don't half-ass it.  Why?  What would showing some guy's head blowing up do for me or anyone else?  What would seeing someone shot do for me or anyone else?  You don't need to see a gun.  You don't need blood spray.  You don't need to see a bullet wound.  None of that is needed to tell a good story yet we do it, it's accepted, and often times championed.  "Did you see that shot?!"  "Wicked!"  "Did you see when that guy's arm was torn off?"  "That was gross man.  Haha."

Way to not even come close to answering a simple question.

My argument is that nudity would make the romances more believable, and by making it more believable the romances are better. By making a important part of the game better, the game becomes better. Ipso facto nudity will make ME3 better.

I didn't hate them, but they weren't as good as in Mass Effect. Maybe that's because we were expecting something more like Mass Effect.
