:\\ Not all that interesting to me...
- Another fire staff... as if we don't have enough of those floating around. An no rune slots to make it worse.
- Some robes of slightly blemished cleanliness
- Another spirit of the night, this time with physical damage mod??? FAIL
- Another physical bow (quite a good bow... but I'd love to see a nature bow (I'd prefer electric, but from a logical perspective I find an electric bow odd)
- A dagger of an element that already exists, I suppose it just means you don't have to waste coin on the maker's kiss
- and the Rogue chestpiece looks like the best thing there.

It's a pity that nothing was really given that we can build around.

I think I'll pass on this one. I love DA2, and I loved Legacy, but item packs aren't really for me. Options for those who want them are good though :)

Waiting for news on another story one!

This pretty much sums it up....unfortunatelly.

But granted, it does make more sense for them to be dogs than the nugs.

Although imagine Leliana's reaction to the latter...

You know me better than that. In my worldstate, Leliana doesn't go anywhere near staves.

Well, i was thinking about her possible reaction to seeing the dead nugs tied to the stick, rather than the stick itself...

They should have made it so you could pluck off one of the little piglets and throw it at an enemy. It would summon a nug that aggros the targeted enemy and forces them to chase it around for a couple seconds before gibbing it.

The nugs won't replenish until the end of combat, so you could only do this twice per fight.

Get Nick back in the studio so he can scream "That'll do, pig!" when launching one of them.

Staff of a Thousand Penises, meet the Staff of a Couple Nugs.

The only good thing about this DLC is the inspiration it gives to devSin to make hilarious comment.

Seriously though, I'm going to pass this one. Have they actually checked how many mobs have fire immunity? No? That explains why they're handing out fire staves all the time.

And while I'm at it - Physical bonus to a spirit weapon? Yet another physical bow?... *sigh*

While the mage robes arn't knock your socks of they do have spirirt dmg and this may allow you to use that 140g elsewhere. + no more fricken chantry sister's robes.

Rogues got it good except for archers tho.

The warrior chestpiece isn't terrible either if your lookin for a way to avoid Robes of Clealiness *shrug*

Sorry guys but this sort of stuff is just so... oh, nevermind.

A toolset has nothing to do with content creation. If modders wanted to make items like that, we could. But modeling and texturing from scratch is, guess what, kinda a big deal.

I want a toolset as much as anyone else, but the rampant misconceptions present in the community about what a toolset would actually facilitate vs. what we can already do just fine are upsetting.

you know what i don't get
PC players buying item packs when they can make a whole hell of a lot better armor and weapons than the item packs made by bioware
IMO its kind of a waste of money to buy item packs when you can make a better looking one

i did get the item pack mind you
but thats because i play DA2 on a console(xbox)
which means i get stuck with the same old armors and weapons with the same skins but different stats

Most annoying thing in this DLC, that Bioware didn't even made 2 DIFFERENT armor sets. It's kinda frustrating.

Though they look nice. Here they are on the fem Hawke -

There's more to items than just stats -- some people like getting them for the new, different appearance they provide, and that's not something that's as easy to make "a whole lot better" as you make it sound. Note how nearly all "new" armours made for DA2 by people so far are just reskins or small edits of the default game items, rather than stuff custom built from scratch.

Exactly.

Modeling programs aren't as demanding on a PC as the game, so, GreyWarden36, if you want to spend a few hundred dollars to purchase one, I'll bet your PC could run it. Then you can make items that are "a whole hell of a lot better."

I look forward to your future work B)

Imo those armours are very very ugly. Ugh! :( Well so far with dragon age 2 the best and prettiest armours have been done by the modders.

Who is doing the design of those armours? They are simply awful! Well anyway I havent been buying dlc for this game. These don't inspire me to part with my money.

I am very pleased with the new Mage robes, as the Cleanliness/ Petrice look is just not my fashion statement of choice.

I bought the new item pack for all classes, but have only tried the mage robes so far. That stuff is hmm..ok, but personally, I like the look of The Fugitive's Mantle from Item Pack #1 better, at least for a mage.

I saw a couple of youtube videos that showed the other outfits I hadn't seen yet, and I must say - I'm disappointed, BioWare. Where are the pretty hats with the feathers? I've been holding out hope for another Jasmine Cutty's Wrap-esque hat, but nooo. And while we're on the subject, the one for maleHawke looks silly. The femHawke version looks much better.

:D

The only cool looking armor on the first items DLC, was the lower level armor for the female mage, the second tier was ugly as hell, and the staff seemed so weak, I like the look off the staff of pathalan but after midway through second act it just gets too weak, plus I wish it had "Cold" damage instead, most cold damage staffs you find through the game looks the same ugly looking or weak. The rogue armor was ugly too plus it's weapons, which I just gave to Isabela so it wouldn't be a complete waste. The warrior I lost interest to see the armor as soon as I saw the two-handed sword, whats up with that huge butchers knife as a sword. I think I'll just pass on the second items DLC. Through the game there is some cool looking items, but they're to weak already when you find them, or they get weak soon as you level up, I wish I could change or buy a better weapon or armor status and apply it to whatever weapon or armor we want, maybe at the Black Emporium.
