Never knew this even existed, let alone that it was releasing today. The first pack was good though so the second one should be as well.

As far as I know, Item Pack 2 is only available for Xbox 360 users via Marketplace at this time. If someone could confirm for PC and PS3 please do so.

Anyway, here are the Xbox.com links to the DLCs. Like the first Item Pack, Item Pack 2 comes in an All class bundle for 400 Microsoft Points or you can buy each class separately for 240 Microsoft Points each.

All-class Item Pack II

Mage Item Pack II

Rogue Item Pack II

Warrior Item Pack II

As always, keep this discussion DA2 story spoiler free, and keep the discussion on topic about the Item Packs themselves. I have spare Microsoft Points so I'm going to buy the Item Pack; I'll let you all know what I think in a while. If anyone has pictures of the DLC feel free to share.

Thanks!

I'm really curious as to the sales numbers for these things. Folk could just as easily add things like this through a toolset. For PC only of course, a shame the (DAO)toolset isn't cross-platform compatible.

True

However, I like how Bioware is still supporting DA2 with DLC. Sure, its just an item pack, but at least they're releasing DLC for the game to keep us playing. Plus, our party could use actual useful jewlery items :P

I'd rather have content DLC and leave the downloadable items to the modders.

I'd rather have story DLC with items gained through the DLC ala the DAO DLC.

But i will probably buy it only for the companions accessories as the default ones ingame are terrible.

Believe me, I'd rather have story driven DLC over any item pack.

Considering much more time and work must be put into story-based DLC however, I'm patient. Legacy delivered, and this new item pack is welcome. Helps ease the wait a bit.

It seems to me as well that they are taking the ME2 DLC approach ala Item DLC then Story DLC then Item DLC then Story DLC and so on. I can live with that, seeing as it worked with ME2.

Having some of Loghain's rogue gear makes me a little fluttery, so I'll be purchasing that for sure.

They do appear to have toned down the appearance of the weapons, away from the moe outlandish designs we saw in the earlier DLC's.

I liked the Warrior and Rogue armours, but I still think the best looking Mage set is the high level set from the first item DLC.

Cassandra: What makes the champion so special?
Varric: Itempacks.

Lol of course my Mage and Warrior are in a quest where I have to beat the quest to get back to the estate XD

Took a look at the Rogue items. The weapons are really nice, they all improve with level up and look sweet. I'm disappointed with the armor. Once again it's one set good for Act 1, another set good for Act 2, but the sets both look exactly the same. Not sure if that is a bug or if it was on purpose, but thats a rip-off.

Rogue party member items are still awesome. It's new and different jewelery now, so you can add on to their items from the previous pack.

Still need to look at the Warrior and Mage items.

Yeah cant find it here on the website, so I guess its not up for PC or something...
But Considering they havent even made a sticky thread in the announcement page I am guessing they aer still working on letting everyone get it.

What do the daggers look like? Are they my long awaited Finesse Warglaives?

I already bought the first item pack so I'll give my wallet a break....Anybody have a pic of what the new items look like? The first pack had cool armor but sometimes they weren't that great for my Lady Hawke to wear. She ended up looking like a dude.....

There are already many items at dragonagenexus.com (for PC, that is), including several excellent mage robes, dozens of weapons (among them scythe and morgenstern) and new runes. For free.
$10 for two item packs? That's a price of a whole game on mobile platforms.

^This. i thought the same way about the first item pack too. Unfortunately item packs aren't enough to spark another playthrough for me, unless it contains some really amazing unique things, but ive seen the pics and i can't say im impressed. I prefer the weapon and armor mods people have made, puts these item packs to shame IMO, and they're free too!

Some of you guys have to realize that not everybody has the PC version of Dragon Age II, like myself. Many of us have to rely on these item packs to actually get some useful and good looking items in the game. 360 and PS3 users cannot mod or download free models/skins. Think about it in our perspective too, not just the perspective of a PC user.

I haven't had much time to get pictures of the items, but I can tell you the weapons look really nice. The Rogue daggers look like little devilish scythes, the bow is broad and has a neat looking protective shield at the front.

The Mage staff is a simple wooden staff but one end of the staff has a neat, articulate design. It also flings fire.

Still working on the Warrior weapons and armor. Item Pack II is somewhat worth it alone for the new weapons and party member jewelry that stacks to the jewelry from the previous pack (for example, Isabela had a powerful ring in the first pack, the second pack Isabela gets a powerful necklace).

What irks me though is that the two sets of armor that each class comes with, for Rogue and Mage at least so far, have the same models and textures. They both have different stats and are tiered toward the early acts, but if I'm spending $5 for an item pack, I'm sure we should all expect variety in the items. Item Pack 1 had different looking armor sets for the two sets given each class, why is this pack different?

Again, I'm not sure if thats how BioWare designed the armor in the 2nd pack or if its simply a bug. I'm hoping its the latter, because that can be fixed. If its the former, then I am going to be slightly upset about this purchase.

Yay! More items. More junk to sell. (For a whole 1 copper most likely)

Legacy was a good stride forward, now we have another step back for DLC

Won't be getting this. What a waste.

I'm not into those Item packs. I'll just read the codex entries on the wikia and wait for the next story DLC!
