As for the OP's question - if you were on a suicide mission with a high possibility of never coming back wouldn't you risk a little rumpy pumpy as the last vestiges of happiness you might experience? I know I would. Having said that, just having a few cuddles and kisses would likely be kinda nice too.

I still don't understand why everyone assumes that Shepard and Tali did the dirty deed. As we know the Quarians are tragically enclosed in their suit, and intimate physical moments rarely ever occur. Them having sex right off the bat would make less sense provided they were developing their relationship in ordinary circumstances, but they're about to go on a suicide mission. There's no incentive to take it slow, as they may not get another chance to be together.

Saying that Shepard and Tali 'did the deed' is perfectly reasonable. Either way, she wins. Wouldn't she prefer to die during pleasure than during a suicide mission?

To be honest, the same could be said for all LI's in ME2. You never truly see any of them getting nude and eventually "gettin' it on" Sure you see methods of foreplay, but to assume that Tali is the only one that remained abstinent because of a immuno-deficiency is a little shallow. Besides, I don't think BioWare thinks that deeply to consider that one LI would be the only exception.
