A Warhammer 40k RPG like Mass Effect?

In the Mass Effect game I loved the 3rd person shooter, action, travel to different solar systems but I think it was more than that. You could create your own character(face), change the campaign how you want paragon or renengade. Players get detached the characters adding to the romance etc..the actions you choose are set in stone. You can't reverse it like in life. I think that is why ME/DA hit the nail.
Warhammer 40k can be the same as Mass Effect literally. It's so vast it can go on forever. Starting off as a Space Marine or even a Imperial Guardsman starting off with the Imperium. You choose your reputation, and like what type of soldier you want to be like in Mass Effect. There is a choice being Superhuman(Space Marine) or typical human(Guardsmen).
Thing is about being a Space Marine their only purpose in life is war, and nothing else. Also there is no female Space Marines. Now being a guardsmen the player can choose to be a male or female. Guardsmen can involve romance, be a typical human of course but being almost like shepard but not as powerful as a Space Marine.
In the game the actions your character takes can lead him being Faithful to the Emperor(Paragon) or taking his own ruthless path for power chaos(renengade). Change the course of the campaign how you want. You can have your personal gothic warship like the Normandy travel anywhere you like different parts of the Imperium that needs help or aiding chaos.
Hell there is HUGE epic Space battles in warhammer 40k, so the player can customize his ship too. In Mass Effect you can buy, switch out different parts of your armour. With the Warhammer 40k I guess how much you prove yourself in status wise taking paragon or renengade determines what armour you get. Also there is 11-12 races in Warhammer 40k. There is even RPG warhammer 40k books out there "Rogue Trader" I believe. I can go on forever about ideas for it.
So Bioware has alot to choose from regarding campaigns. I know relic is a making a Space Marine in other words a other gears of war. If Bioware steps up to the plate and makes a RPG Warhammer 40k with Mass Effect engine it would super awesome. Also Warhammer 40k IS WAY popular than warhammer I'm sorry thats the honest truth.
Ok guys what is your honest opion plus I want to send this idea to Bioware itself than actually posting on their forums, and becoming another number...If Bioware ever made a Warhammer 40k w/ ME engine sales would go through the roof, and customers would drooling for more. There is already a fan base for it so just mentioning it would have people already waiting in line for it.

The tabletop rpgs focus on the most flexible organizations for player choices.

I think the best way to be converted to chaos is be introduced to it in the campaigns having choices to save people or killing them. As you go on you start to lose faith, and build more anger, and revenge etc.. Then depends on God you choose, gives you abilities you wouldn't have normally.
Creating your own character, will make it more personal, and through the game the choices you make may swing you towards being more faithful or more chaos. I think maybe it will be best you start off undivided then become one of the four entities.
Chaos will make you look bad ass, just imagine fighting dreadnoughts, riding in a predator, bikes, land speeder. There hasn't been a game where there has been actual RPG/Drama like in Mass effect for Warhammer 40k. Getting to know real drama in the 40k world.
The Mass Effect will be the "Warp" so to speak, and have you travel to other solar systems. Investigate whats going on. There is so many aliens to fight in Warhammer 40k its not even funny.
Rouge Trader will be interesting, being a normal human male or female in the 40k world. After reading the description of Rouge Trader it will FIT PERFECT for rpg/Mass Effect Warhammer 40k Setting.
In Rogue Trader, you can explore the universe of Warhammer 40,000 like never before. Vast fortunes await on the edges of the galaxy, if you and your fellow Explorers can muster the courage to find and claim them. Renown and riches reward the bold, but the unwary find only anonymous deaths. A Rogue Trader who can wrest profits from a dangerous universe through luck, cunning, or sheer force of will enjoys something few humans in the 41st Millennium even know—a life of adventure and true freedom.
Such a course, however, is often fraught with peril. Foul aliens, pernicious raiders, and even other Rogue Traders stand in your way on the path to greatness. Your wits, luck, skill, and courage will be tested to their utmost limits. To survive is to face even greater challenges—and to wield even greater power.
The lure of the unknown draws you toward a wealth of possibilities:
• Explore the uncharted regions of the galaxy
• Buy and sell entire worlds
• Battle pirates for control of valuable trade routes
• Discover the ruins of an alien civilization, the first step on a path towards a legendary prize…
While Rogue Trader focuses on a different aspect of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the rule system is compatible with Dark Heresy. If you choose, characters from Dark Heresy can easily be integrated into a Rogue Trader campaign or vice versa. The Rogue Trader core rulebook provides all the rules necessary to enjoy a complete roleplaying experience in the grim darkness of the far future.
Alright how do I send this idea directly to Bioware HQ like top notch guys for game delevempment.

Inquisitors allow you in marines, guardsmen and adeptus mechanicus as part of your squad also full access to just about any gear you want including xenos.
Oh and I think EA only have the license for warhammer, THQ are the poster boys for the 40K license ATM, but I could be wrong

Bioware does have a license with Gamesworkshop regardless if THQ/Relic is the posterboy warhammer 40k . As for RPG Bioware is the posterboy for that market. Being a Inquistor contridicts with the point maybe going rebel/chaos. Better yet, what will fit perfect for a 40k RPG is being a Imperial Guardsmen. What you think of that guys?
They are no different from you and I just a normal human being, and in true 40k fluff. Bioware can easily create a 40k RPG rogue trader or guants ghost type of 40k RPG like Mass Effect type of game. Being a Imperial Guardsmen like Commander Shepard living in a harsh life of the 40k universe but it can just be thrilling. There is both Male, and Female Imperial Guardsmen. Create your character, male or female, face, past life etc... just like in Mass Effect then through out the game create your own mixed personal team exactly like guants ghost.
Through out the campaign you choose path you want to take fighting for the Imperium/Emperor or being a rebel/Renengade then maybe converted to Chaos. Come across all sorts of people, and xonoes putting you in situations that may question your character personally just like in ME. As you gain experience, you have more options avaiable for armour, and weaponary. Bioware can involve romance in the 40k RPG for being a guardsmen in it like Mass Effect or Dragon Age, I mean they are normal human beings/Imperial Guardsmen.
Most guardsmen joined the Imperium to travel the universe, adventure etc.. Since there is a mixture of male, and female among the ranks, I'm very sure there is romance involved. As you move up the ranks off your success, reputation etc...you can maybe become a storm trooper or become a commissar. Build your own team, and the campaign blossums based off your decisions you make through out the game. Make it super epic
You can involve driving leman russes, sentials, Baneblades, baslisk, and even a Valk. The Warhammer 40k RPG for a Imperial Guardsmen will be epic. You being a simple human being, and becoming someone than a number in the Ranks. Having a Guants Ghost will be perfect for a Warhammer 40k RPG. I can go on forever, but I think you guys get the idea. Campaigns for a 40k RPG/Mass Effect will NEVER END.

1.Starting off as a Guardsman would probably be the best bet. From there, via storylines, I guess you could choose to be an Inquisitor, Rogue Trader, or stay as a Guardsman. I think, lorewise, becoming/playing as a space marine would be too excessive (theyre simply too strong/quick/"inhuman" to mesh well with the other classes without a serious nerf-bat). Therefore, your bad-ass character will be inevitably trumped by other, post-human bad-asses. Mass Effect's Shepard is awesome because he/she is the most bad-ass thing around. Shepard looks up to no one.
2. If you wanted to play as a space marine in an RPG-style game, there is already competition with "Space Marine" by THQ. Any good game somewhat occupies a niche in a market. Copycat games almost never sell as well as their original.
3. The sheer depth of the warhammer 40k lore makes it difficult for developers to create that world. As Ultenth said, the necron/C'tan storyline is very similar to the Collector/Reaper storyline, so they wouldn't want to include the necrons. Likewise, krogan are similar to orks. eldar are similar to asari (somewhat). However, if you try to exclude some races due to their similarities, fans of that race (who may or may not have spent several hundred dollars on armies) wont want the game. This narrows your target audience, and thus, potential profits.
Maybe I'm totally wrong. In fact, I hope I'm wrong. I would love to see the game you described. But it would be a nightmare for a developer to create, publish, and distribute.
