Follower armor? What is this.. I don't even..

Edit: Can't wait for people accusing BioWare of limiting armor choice so they can sell armor DLC.

Edit 2: The tweet said "Get new armor for you and your followers! The Dragon Age 2 Item Pack is now available!
" :pinched:

No, NOT new armors for followers. We didn't say that. There are new items for followers, but not armors.

Odd, my hyperlink didn't work. Try this.

How does this look on Lady Hawke?

I dont have a male protagonist so these screenshots dont help too much for me   Especially because some of the armour variations are quite notable different between the two genders...

The Rogue armor looks really smexy on a FemHawke :wizard:

Speaking of the new items.  The DW hand axes look sweet, kinda like little hand scythes lol

I think part of the mistake can be attributed to Facebook. I saw the announcement there first, which says this: "Get new armor for you and your followers! The Dragon Age 2 Item Pack is now available!"

While "armor" can account for amulets, rings, weapons, etc., it certainly sounds misleading. I was quite excited at the idea of this release from that announcement until I realized that it didn't mean a new look for the companions.

-wow rogue armor certainly looks 100% better this round.
-warrior looks at less fantastical (lion head lawlz.), looks awesome regardless.
-mage... ew, looks like Hawke mugged Genghis Khan for his gear or something.

kudos on the new set for warriors and rogues... not so much for mages (strictly my opinion).
xD

There's screenshots in the thread here

Both armours use the same appearance, supposedly.

Axes for rogues. Really. Axes.

Also, what is up with that mage staff?

The staff looks okay, except for the mutilated Smurfs tied to it. If it didn't have those, it would be pretty sweet.

Disappointed that the two armours for each class are identical, I would have thought that asset duplicating would have been identified quite clearly as a problem from the vanilla game.

I do like that the weapons look a lot more practical this time around whilst still maintaing a unique style, without looking ridiculously cartoonish.

Chris are these armors meant to look the same or is there some problem?
I mean if it is like that then I'd just say it's a little pointless, since it could have been made to level up with you. Just want some clarification, not looking to start something.

Do you guys have plans to fix the skin tones not matching on parts of this gear(like the gloves), or at least fix it going forward? It's really jarring.

Damn, I just spent 400 of the points I was planning on using for Street Fighter III on this. Luckily I was planning on waiting til September to see what the Xbox Rewards rebate for that month is, and getting more points in the meantime for the Mortal Kombat collection.

My thing...
Little pissed off that the armor is the same for both the low and high levels, but it adds a nice little bit of continuity.
I dont like the way the rogue stuff looks, but I do like the weapons and the lore is neat
I really like the way the mage armor looks, but the staff looks silly...heres why, you guys pitched the swordstaff sorta deal early on, and even have cool animations for dealing melee damage with staffs, but the staff just doesnt look like you could hit someone over the head with it...(same with malcoms honor) but thats a personal thing...

I really...really...really like the warrior gear. The armor looks awsoeme, the sword..axe thing looks different and kinda cool, the hammer is neat looking...and the shield...I ****ing love the shield.

Warriors have some nice loot this time around, I like the armor this time around. Less flashy than the Golden Prince's Rainment. That maul is also looking nice. Only complaint there is the helmet, don't what it is but I'm just picking up a wierd feeling about it. Not my style I guess.

Rogues have won the best gear for this pack in my opinion. Duncan and Loghain's gear from their banditing days? Hell yeah. The axes look spectacular, much better than those tiny little daggers I'm normally stuck with.  Next pack I'd like to see some longswords though.

Mages.... Well, we did get the best loot last time around so I suppose it's only fair that things get toned down. I like the lore behind it and the clothes are neat but that staff is just downright odd. I was hoping for more of a spear like weapon or something a little dangerous looking. Not a plushy on a stick.

Overall, not bad. I like these packs so far, might pick up the Rogue pack. The others, eh, not so much.
