I'm like WTF with the low & high lvl armor looking the same. That's just messed up. I feel like you guys ripped us off on this item pack armor wise, but the rest of the weapons & accessories are great. On a personal note item pack one was worth the money, item pack 2 would have been better with just one set of the class armor if your were just going to give us 2 of the same looks. So hope you guys can fix that armor thing or something. All in all though love the new gear & now looking forward to new story DLC.

Yeah I'm not really down with the fact that the low level and high level armor look the same. Otherwise I'm satisfied with the DLC weapons though, switching them out between pack 1 and pack 2 whether I'm fighting darkspawn or non-magic species.

Ok, I sort of expected the second weapons and armor pack to really exceed the previous. The warrior armor does, but the rest is really just a wash, why even bother with that shield if you already have Courage? Not feelin the value on this one. I'd rather see more actual story DLC, but that is probably a pipe dream as they announced there will be a DA3.

They should have just made the armor level up instead of making 2 separate sets that look the same.

yea I believe they said there's going to be more info for DA2 DLC @ PAX. the Q&A they just did over @ GamesCon. & there was mention of story DLC & there was even a some talk that there was a new screen shot show & that was not to be seen I guess. so those who were @ GamesCon. may have seen footage of a future DLC, who knows.

Well I am pleasantly surprised! These new armors and weapons all look great - and they are actually usable! Well done on that BioWare!
Clipping is almost non-existent and flappy bits also appear better with less clipping (much better than the mess that is the Legacy Armor).

However, (as usual) there are a few issues:

Firstly, wearing the warrior armor turns OFF persistent gore for my character! Companions still have gore on them after battles, but not Hawke.
I really hope this gets fixed because it's a shame to look this badass and not have blood all over you after battles.
Really BioWare, do you guys not test your stuff before releasing it???

Secondly, what is the point in getting two sets of each class' armors if they both look identical? I mean, wow! Again, lazy work from the devs!
The least you could have done was to change the colour schemes to identify the different sets but even this seems like too much trouble?

If it wasn't for these senseless omissions in detail, this item pack would have been awesome, but now the best I can give it is a 7/10 (I'm feeling generous today).

Indeed! Don't know how their logic works sometimes...

Re-used armors aside, I am more disappointed with some questionable decisions for weapons. The 1H axe is almost identical to Edge of Night (1H axe from the 1st item pack) and it has a +% PHYSICAL DAMAGE modifier, although it's a spirit based weapon, making the modifier pretty much useless. Way to go BioWare.

I was hoping for something that would enhance the gameplay exprience, but it seems that 99% of the work went into writting the codex and lore, and 0.2% went into gameplay related stuff. There is not a single piece of equipement in there that adds anything new to the gameplay side of things.
I was happy with the first pack, because it added a bunch of new awesome stuff you could experiment and play around with. But I am thoroughly disappointed with the second one, because everything is just slightly better and/or different than the stuff that is already available.

Here's a tip for the team that develpoed this pack, clearly without any cosideration whatsoever for gameplay side of things. Add more elemental weapons. Archers need more elemental variety, not another physical bow, like the one you added. S&S Warriors already have a very awesome spirit based weapon from the first pack, so anything BUT another spirit weapon would have been fine.
I don't hanve any major complaints about other items, but they too could hae used a bit more variety.

These item packs can be a fun little addition that add incentive to start another character and try out something new based on what it offers. But this one completely missed that purpose and like I said, it is a huge letdown for me. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that already has the first item pack.

Item stats aside, you can't argue that the outfits in particular look pretty cool! Sure, they've failed to add that little extra dimension of playability but surely it is not all bad?
All I'm saying is perhaps some credit for the things they did do well couldn't hurt.

I would not mind paying extra for armor that levels up. Althought that would probably make it very overpowered.

Not a bad little pack. Just a few gripes:

- Identical appearance for all three armour sets
- The emphasis on axes; is it really so hard to design a decent longsword and some daggers?
- Bethany's accessory is the only item not to level-up
- Freedom's Promise looks like two stuffed dogs tied to a twiglet. If the developers wanted to include a staff which looked primitive, why not include an updated version of the Staff of Parthalan and centre the lore of the mage set around him? Would mean that those who haven't unlocked the staff through the promotion could have access to what is, in my opinion, the best looking mage weapon in the game

Everything is else is fine, especially the lore behind the items. Not a bad way to spend 400 MS points

I don't like this a bit. This reminds me of the poor DLC packs in Fable 3, but those were actually worse...You guys did this once, but now twice? So basically this won't stop, will it? I don't want to buy my items like this is something from farmville or whatever. I dont have any problems with the items itself, but i wan't to have a solid story and gameplay experience where it challenge me to LOOT new items. It's an overflod with new stuff at the beginning and it makes the game too easy, even on nightmare difficulty. It's also ridiculous how much these item pack costs.

I will wait for a proper DLC and i will not purchase this. I do not approve.

Some of the art designs are pretty awesome, I agree. The Rogue armor is the most awesome looking chestpiece in the game, for me personally.
My major complaint about the pack was that it didn't add anything new to the gameplay side of things, like the first pack did. And the choice for the 1H axe was completely arbitrary to say the least. And like I said, I don't have any  major complaints about most of the items, there is nothing new that adds to gameplay, the one aspect I really enjoy about the game. I can give the team credit for some nice art design choices (minus reused armors), but I am thoroughly disappointed with how little thought went into the gameplay side of things.
So while I can't say anything extremly negative about the pack, I can't say anthing extremly positive either.

Is it me or is anyone else worried that Weapon and Armor Merchants are going to go out of business from all these items packs.

Personally, I don't mind that. My femHawkes are much prettier without blood all over them.

I suppose you could pretend that your Mabari from DAO just cleaned you off? :D

Edit: I haven't tried this out yet; just got a new 360 yesterday, and am still in the process of copying all the stuff from the old one onto the new one.

Not at all. Most items that the merchants sell, that I consider to purchase, are rings, belts, and necklaces. No items have been included in the item packs that are Hawke wearable in those categories. This factor, combined with the fact that the item pack armor choices must be swapped out when leveling up are a good idea to maintain interest in what we choose to equip our Hawkes with, so that we aren't stuck with an armor or piece of armor that just upgrades as we level up.

Sword and Shield have the most numerous and cool looking weapons already in game , I for one am very happy to see such an awesome maul...

I like the armour for warriors aswell, as do i like the helmet and daggers for rogues.... though I play mage mostly, and that must be one of the most horrible ones I have seen ... ever... The robe is decent for those wanting armoured mages, I'm  sure a retexter can make something nice of it ... the staff and robes don't go along very well though, while the one is big beard wizardry like (the staff) the robe looks like off to war (I suppose the halberd staff, forgot it's name, will look nice with that... (as does tigers tail)

But if what Ive been hearing is true, tha the low level ones look the same... I am gonna be very reserved on getting this...

This just cements my belief that Dragon Age 2 has an incredibly imbalanced and crappy inventory system. Never mind the fact that most of the loot you pick up is already useless. This just makes looting and inventory-optimizing pointless. The fact that I have to pay $5 for items that have backstories (since non-dlc items do not have and description or lore associated with it) is ludicrous. This is a waste of money.

I liked the pack, but I have two complaints: First, that both sets of armour looks the same. That felt pretty cheap. And second, the warrior axe does spirit damage, but has a percentile bonus to physical damage. That seems rather pointless.

Haha, if only I could have had that outlook on life, but alas....I WANT GORE!!!
