For those of you that don't like the new Item Pack 2, don't be in a rush to buy stuff until you read the reviews. I was going to buy the Mage things, but when I saw that staff with a stuffed animal on it I changed my mind.

Already beat DA II three times with no item packs. I am not interested... Although the price isn't too steep. Enough said.

Ok, I sort of expected the second weapons and armor pack to really exceed the previous. The warrior armor does, but the rest is really just a wash, why even bother with that shield if you already have Courage? Not feelin the value on this one. I'd rather see more actual story DLC, but that is probably a pipe dream as they announced there will be a DA3.

Really they just announced that they would be incoporating ideas from DA: Origins and DA: II and then combine them to make the best of both worlds. I don't think we will see DA III until 2013, so hang tight. I say let Bioware Take there time, because I want DA III to actually exceed Origins.

For some clarification on the matter and viewing the items, I really dig the armor the rogue gets, and their weapons are pretty awesome... but everything looks the same, which is a really cheap ass thing they did.... People unwary of that, who bought the first pack might be fooled by this..

for the first item pack, I thought Mages > Warriors > Rogues regarding quality

This time it's Rogues ( in terms of looks and stats, they win) > Warriors (Awesome maul put him here) > Mages (Ugly staff put him here)

Is that the new Faith Hill Barbie Doll on that mage staff? :D I do like the mage armor here.

Same exact thing happens to me too. You aren't the only one. Sometimes it will appear in spots.

Am I the only one who loves the staff? I think it's cute. And the Rogue pack is sweet, I'm really digging the armor.

Oh! Teared up a little with the Rogue item pack description mentioning Duncan!

It looks ok, but it's a "no buy" for me. I bought the first item pack, it was pretty good (loved the level 17(I think) rogue armor(On femHawke) in that one, by the way) but nothing is really catching my eye in this one. Sorry Bioware. Try making different armor when you level up. I'll save my money for some story based DLC, thanks.

Can't say either item pack looks all that great. It seems quite cheap to buy though, gotta admit that's one good thing at least. But I'm not that impressed by what I've seen of them and it just reminds me of how few armours in the released DA2 game were interesting designs at all and weren't simply copied/pasted several times over which just devalued the few I did like.

You mean If it looks great and you have to beat the Maker himself to find it, it is worthless stat-wise to wear and if it is a fantastic piece of equipment that enhances your overall game play you look like Sister Petrice or a Darktown beggar?

So how are the companion accessory (I'm assuming that's what they are) stats?

Unless you've bought the item pack, you can't accurately judge.
All the sets look great, in fact they are some of the best looking outfits in the game so far!

I suspect this will happen to everyone but apparently no-one is too bothered by it....

The Female Mage Hawke outfit looks good so far, not too happy with the staff but the outfit is a great improvement over the chantry robes for sure.

I really dig the new Mage Armour on my femHawke. Though nothing tops the low-level mage threads from Pack 1, even so, if I'm RPing I can wear the higher-level Pack 2 set when I'm adventuring and the pack 1 set when I'm swanning around Hightown like a pompous noble.

I thought I'd like the rogue armor more than I actually do, and the companion accessories are good, as usual.

If you're directing this at me I don't see why.  You're imposing your own opinions and values to downplay mine because you don't like them.  I never mentioned stats and even if I did care about the stats of the new sets they were hardly going to revolutionise the game play so that point is pretty much irrelevant.

Since I still have my eyesight I can.  I've seen the pics they released for both and some vids of the previous item pack.  It's hardly going to change the aesthetic appeal just because I downloaded it into my game.

Uh... having a bad day or something? I was agreeing with you, not trying to demean anything you said. I am still bitter over the Champion armour. It is semi-hard to attain, one of the major sub-goals of the game and you look hot in it but by the time you get it, you can either sacrifice stats and firepower and wear it OR you can put on the Unblemished Robes of Petrice and look like a frump with a powder keg under your dress.

Again, sorry if I offended you...

No, no.  MY APOLOGIES.  That was uncalled for.  I didn't quite read your sentence right.  It seemed like you were belittling my opinion and after a couple of threads in the DA2 forum I ended up venting on you.  Once again, my bad.

And yeah, don't get me started on the Champion armour.  I hated that tedious fight with the dragon to get that.

I have to say, I didn't like the mages staff initially, the stuffed dogs/statue dogs didn't make much sense...until I gave it to Merrill, then it totally clicked.

She stole two wee mabari dog statues from the Viscount's gardens and tied them to the staff because they were cute. The Viscount had better watch out, she's likely got an eye on his Gnomes too. (I kid of course, but whilst I dislike the Staff on Hawke or Anders, I do find it very fitting to Merrill)
