good Idea :)

The twiglet staff is absolutely perfect for Merrill! Just as Malcolm's Honour is for Bethany.

And dual axes for Izzy? Yes please!

That dog-headed maul is awesome too.

I'm absolutely disappointed with both sets of armour looking identical, that actually upset me and I feel the need to complain about it. One or two sets of levelling up armour would have been more appropriate.

No other complaints, except that I would like more per set, really. A maul and a greatsword, an axe and a longsword, hatchets and daggers, etc.

Also, high-res for Pack 1 and a twin to Finesse, please?

She stole two wee mabari dog statues from the Viscount's gardens and tied them to the staff because they were cute. The Viscount had better watch out, she's likely got an eye on his Gnomes too. (I kid of course, but whilst I dislike the Staff on Hawke or Anders, I do find it very fitting to Merrill)

OMG! *ROFL* I was totally raging today because of the heat and this comment completely snapped me out my curse of the weather gods.

And of course the "Twiglet" description was great too. Before I read the codex on it I swore it looked like Hawke got homesick for the Deep Roads and stuffed mini-nugs to a stick and put some enchantments down on it. But I will try to imagine toy moodles from now on I guess.

the weapons for all three classes look horrible. why would i want a maul or axe for my warrior when i prefer swords?

for a rogue when i prefer daggers why would i want hand axes?

for the mage, the staff looks stupid as heck. no point in getting it.

As for the armors... they look okay but i've seen better from the main game for the warrior and rogue. The mage armor is an improvement over the traditional robes but still not worth the money.

My husband just saw the staff for the first time and this was his comment, "Yes, I couldn't bear the thought of someone like Quentin or Orsino using my doggies for nefarious purposes. So, I had Fluffy and Puffy mumified so I could tie them to a stick and take them with me everywhere. Now they share in all my adventures."

Your husband is amazing. Give him a cookie.

@ Soulcheg, Thank you for posting this I appreciate it.

I'm passing on this pack but the day it came out I bit the bullet and bought the first one. I like the staff but only one appearance change isn't enough of a value for my money. Granted I may cave and buy it anyway just to support this game.

Aw Chris, you're killing me here.  Bought your first pack and nearing that end of playthrough ... now I have to get the next to see if they're any good!

A pack I might just have to buy! The last set was iffy but that rouge armor is just AWESOME! Just wish I played a rouge instead of a mage.

Wow, the mage staff doesn't look look it's been beaten with the ugly stick, rather, it looks like it IS the ugly stick.

Looks like they created the ugly stick mage staff first, then hit everything in the pack with it. I thought after the whole "omg Legacy wth" threat, the art direction for armour design would change...

Wow.

I'm sorry, I don't know how else to say this but... this stuff is UGLY.

Seems like the devs are still afraid to take some chances on more vivid colors and unusual textures/paneling. Look at Merrill's romance armor for inspiration; that is some of the best looking armor I've seen in any fantasy anything. This chainmail undertunic with leather pieces on top cliche has got to stop.

Are there other rogue axes in game? I haven't played a melee rogue, only an Archer, but the bow is fantastic, one of the best looking bows in the game.

As far as the mage items go I am underwhelmed both in terms of looks, which are ugly by the way, and in terms of the power of these items, my level 50 mage and his level 50 companions can't work with such low stats. But the companion trinkets are good so I still got my $5 worth out of this DLC.

Keep it coming BioWare but NOT before you seriously reconsider your art production, such ugliness is beneath you.

I hesitate to mention this because of the expected backlash of people accusing me of seeing through rose-colored glasses, but...

One of the most memorable things about past Bioware titles which made looting and character outfitting so joyful was the unusual, weird and sometimes even ridiculous look of armor and weapons. When I think of something like Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights, I immediately look back fondly on stuff like the Blue Dragon Scale, Jester's Chain Mail, Mirror Armor, Aribeth's Blackguard Plate, among so many others. Yet, in the Dragon Age mythos, there are precious few armor sets I can think of that I thought were visually memorable, and that pretty much is its own narrative as to artistic direction. Armor of the Sentinel looked unusual and badass, but it practically took a game and a half to get to it.

Is it just me or does it really suck that RPG lets you buy epic items for your people rather than getting them in game... This isn't even an MMO and people are biting... :( Is that the reason why the in game items suck so that you can sell the better items? hehe come to think of it, maybe that's why there isn't any toolset either...

I'm sure we can come up with a whole list of conspiracy theories, but that's really all they are.

I would however agree that the additional items are too easily obtained. There should at least be a small quest attached to them, even if it is around Kirkwall and the surrounding areas.
