I am not satisfied with this lazy pack, dear designers. I was expected a different armour for my mage once he reached the second required level and it gave me a clone. Didn't you learn your lessons from the re-used dungeons, already? Your fans don't want clones and re-used stuff. They want FRESH and UNIQUE stuff.

Other than that, I love the new weapons.:wizard:

I mean to each their own but I'll never understand why people buy item packs when there's plenty of items to go around in the game already. I mean there's so much I had a hard time distributing it all. I think Bioware should AT LEAST attach quests to said items to make this DLC a little more enticing.

Really love the new Rogue armour, but feel a bit ripped off that both armours in each set are identical ..... what is the point in having 2 when they both look the same??????:(

And I won't mention the mage staff !!!!!!

You know it's funny, because I keep reading/watching stuff about listening to and learning from feedback...

Yet here we are and nothing has changed. Indeed this thread contains the same kind of complaints you could see about the initial release, or item pack one.

Just an observation.

Here's a thought: if you're listening to feedback, why don't you let these people change companion armour at some point, since people clearly want it and have been moaning about it since day one?

That would seem like a reasoned and intelligent thing to do, if it isn't prohibitively difficult.

Totally agree...seems like an easy profit release for them.  Pull in the people who will buy anything that says "Dragon Age" on it.

Seriously, though, would a few new weapons and armor entice someone to play through the game again?  The only DLC that is going to entice me to play again is some story stuff.  I will wait for the expansion (if there is one) and just use the new weapons/armor they include with that...

In a nutshell the rogue armor is truly outstanding in looks and design, if you are into being a rogue grab this set, all the rest is sub par, might want to pass...Warrior armor keeps getting bigger and bulkier, Hawke is lucky to be able to move let alone hold a sword

Mage pants!  Excellent.  I will always support mage pants.  Order of looks:  Mage, rogue, warrior.

I like that there are companion items.  That's a nice touch.

Still, as I'm playing through Deus Ex HR right now, I won't be buying this pack until the next story DLC drops.  You also shot yourselves in the foot in a sense...  The Champion gear looks so kickass on a mage that it's hard to want to use anything else.

This set is awful. This is the first time in more than ten years for me to regret to buy Bioware product.
First of all it is too expensive: for example, item pack for mass effect 2 is 160 BW, instead 240 BW for each of DA2 packs.
Then let's look what we are paying for: low level staff (while it's understandable for me, that it is not enough staff after level 18), equipped at the same levels as the "Item pack I", meaning packs exclude each other.
And the final and the most stunning: pack contains of two armor sets that LOOKS EXECTLY THE SAME!!!

I love how people complain so much about the price and usefulness (or lack thereof) of these item packs.
It's not like someone held a gun to your head and forced you to buy it!
Next time, wait until you know more about the items so you can make an informed decision about whether or not to buy.
Personally, I love the new item pack - and yes, it has enticed me to start 3 new playthroughs, Warrior, Mage and Rogue!

I didn't buy them and that's why I said to each their own. It is just of my opinion that this kind of DLC is pointless but it's only my opinion and I'm more then free to express that here.

Where did I say I bought it?  I didn't so don't be so reactionary.  Take a breath and actually read what I wrote.  It was just my opinion.

If developers want to make more money off these types of DLC, they should release them as add ons when the game is released.  I would gather that most people have moved on to other games, even those (like me) that have done multiple playthroughs.  Not sure why a few new weapons would entice someone to spend another 20-30 hours of their life with this game.

Well IF you've moved on from DA2 then it's rather strange that you can't stay away from the forums.
Surely you have better things to do than to post here and complain about content you haven't even bought?

Ok, I sort of expected the second weapons and armor pack to really exceed the previous. The warrior armor does, but the rest is really just a wash, why even bother with that shield if you already have Courage? Not feelin the value on this one. I'd rather see more actual story DLC, but that is probably a pipe dream as they announced there will be a DA3.

I'm pretty sure they said somewhere that more story dlc will be announced at PAX this weekend.Image IPB

I hope so, because it just seems like they are releasing these item packs as just a bit of a cash grab. Legacy was pretty good, but I'm not buying another item pack for this game.

The stats are all pretty nice thought I think the shield could have been better... What really made me sad was how ugly it all was. If I can't be scary can I at least have pretty? I will never play with that mage staff /shudders
p.s. Bioware... I still love you! Give us some story DLC next... k? Maybe a hot new romance??? XD

The hardcore Dragon Age fans will buy everything, like myself. I find that the casual players are making a fuss over nothing. As people have said, if youre not obsessed with the series like some people are, you should wait for feeback and then make your decision whether or not it's what youre looking for. Not buy it right away then complain, although it applies to even some of the hardcore. Heck, ill buy anything they throw at me for this and future Dragon Age games, that's how much I enjoy it. :) :P

Ok armor looks nice but I've seen better in other games and even those created by mods, ok some are a bit revealing but hey it is an 18+ game. Maybe this has been done before but wouldn't it be nice if Bioware ran a competition to let people design the next weps/armor for the next either story or item dlc.

As I said maybe someone else knows if this has been done before or not.

With the exception of the Grey Warden Runic armor, I'd love to see a single set of armor made by mods that looks better than the best of the DA2 armor.
I challenge you to post a picture of such armor.

It's hard to judge what you might think is better, it might certainly be not better then everything... but certainly better then most... these are the only stuff I come across which looks good and is standalone :

I don't think these two mage outfits are in any way "better" than anything else in-game, more a case of personal taste.
By "better" I would have expected unique textures and models, neither of which are present here.

Unique models no, but I haven't seen the textures on the robes though... and it looks by far more detailed then the majority of the ingame stuff (But considering I think these are the only two worthwhile to download regarding armours, the first item pack didn't seem much of a bad purchase for me).. But really looking better is a taste thing anyway... =]

These sets are so overpowered the level 17 armour beats champion set out of the water. I wished they made the S&H weapon a sword instead of an axe.

the rogue armor is fluffy and nice :) anyways BW -> please do another Legacy-like addon not just pricy textures that should have been in the game in the first place.

Can we have a "No more area reuse DLC" for $0 ?

Thirded (or however you say it.). I think bioware could sell me anything under the guise of it being dragon age. I buy the item packs, just for the codexImage IPB

The next staff indeed does need to look cool. I need it to either look so evil it just screams I'm a blood mage or be an updated parthalan. the armor needs to look like armor i hate robes. i didn't even play as a mage untill the first item pack came out. lol. and it'd be cool if hawke got some decent rings and such. thats my 2 cents.

I bought this last night and assumed that the way the two new armour sets look the same was some kind of bug.

Is that known to not be the case, and that they look the same by design?
