Actually, that's not it. Or if it is meant to be her, it's not the picture I was referring to, in any case. The one I mentioned came quite a bit later, and pictured her walking away from a burning building. She was wearing red though, but there was no doubt it was Morri.o00oalex wrote...

Just pointing out that this is NOT the picture of a rumored Morrigan that was shown at last nights panel. This is some concept art for upcoming... stuff, but is not the image people are referencing when they talk about a Morrigan picture.
This shot looks to have been taken right at the start of the presentation. Mike asked people not to film or take pictures and I think everyone complied. So teh odds of peope seeing this rumored image likely won't happen. Sorry.

Oh well, I'll survive. Not being able to see Hawke riding a dragon from Gamescon wasn't a huge blow either.

"3) Player Customization – Bioware is fully aware that

screen was a shot of Meryll in an entirely new suit of armor with head,
chest, hand, and foot slots unlocked."
Does anyone have a picture of this plzzz??

I have to say that this made me very happy indeed. And I got a giggle out of "Witches HATE barns!". Heh. Now all I need is a video of the panel and I'll be utterly pleased. Bioware, remember these things you mentioned there!!

No thanks, i don't want to dedicate my entire time playing to hunting down Darkspawn. I want to see Thedas and see what kind of trouble i can stir up. Have fun dying in a cramp tunnel to the taint Warden.

I do not know how to react to that.
Part of me expects much more than what we got, while the other dreads that sentence based on what we got.

The (literal) World is tainted by dark magic and you have to cure it or it'll die with everybody on it. There's no villains in the entire game except for trees which uses their branches to pimp slap the protagonist and the companions are confused at why the protagonist simply doesn't hire lumberjacks.
The Mage / Templar war is a side story.

To sum up : Yes The the story of the warden is done, because of many reasons out of story. But they didn't give us the conclusion for many players. Maybe they will in DA3, but they didn't. So, let's stop pretending blame the fans who have the worst end for a story.
We'll have a new protagonist, that is all what we need to say.
The story of the blight is over. Just as much as the story of Hawke's rise to power is over. Nothing is stopping BioWare from giving either the Hero of Ferelden/ Orlesian Warden Commander a new story to embark on, same as Hawke. And I firmly believe there are certain plot threads best dealt with by those PC's even if they don't need a whole game to deal with them.
I'd prefer being able to control them for a time given their relevance in the story as opposed to BioWare hijacking the Warden and/or Hawke and having them do stuff wildly different than what the player might want.

Guys dragon age is not mass effect we cant be have the same charater over again we need a new charater each DA game.
Why? Nobody is saying DA be the Warden or Hawke trilogy but I think its a pretty stupid rule that it be mandated you never play as an old PC ever again. If they're going to do that, they need to do one hell of a better job wrapping up plot threads, which they have failed to do at all in DAO and DA2.

Seriously? **** the world. I honestly don't give a **** about the Mage/Templar conflict which DA2 did a terrible job of setting up. Let the player watch the world burn and change it how they want. Thats a far more interesting way to change things and be the catalyst of change than simply trying to return the world to status quo or having some NPC like Anders be the main agent of change.

Excellent idea actually. I would vastly prefer if the world does get screwed and the PC will be required to start rebuilding. His / her decisions would shape the future of Thedas (or the region he / she is in).
And yes like you, I find myself unable to care about the conflict that was very poorly built up.
