Maybe those of us who didn't go were deemed unworthy.

Excellent idea actually. I would vastly prefer if the world does get screwed and the PC will be required to start rebuilding. His / her decisions would shape the future of Thedas (or the region he / she is in).

And yes like you, I find myself unable to care about the conflict that was very poorly built up.

Or even just be the person in charge of the screwing. I just pray that whoever the PC is next they're not the passive wishywashy type Hawke was forced to be. That was boring and not fun, to me.

And if you want to see a good example of a game handling a world going to hell in a handbasket really well: see Deus Ex: Human Revolution.B)

To sum up : Yes The the story of the warden is done, because of many reasons out of story. But they didn't give us the conclusion for many players. Maybe they will in DA3, but they didn't. So, let's stop pretending blame the fans who have the worst end for a story.

We'll have a new protagonist, that is all what we need to say.

The story of the blight is over. Just as much as the story of Hawke's rise to power is over. Nothing is stopping BioWare from giving either the Hero of Ferelden/ Orlesian Warden Commander a new story to embark on, same as Hawke. And I firmly believe there are certain plot threads best dealt with by those PC's even if they don't need a whole game to deal with them.

I'd prefer being able to control them for a time given their relevance in the story as opposed to BioWare hijacking the Warden and/or Hawke and having them do stuff wildly different than what the player might want.

Guys dragon age is not mass effect we cant be have the same charater over again we need a new charater each DA game.

Why? Nobody is saying DA be the Warden or Hawke trilogy but I think its a pretty stupid rule that it be mandated you never play as an old PC ever again. If they're going to do that, they need to do one hell of a better job wrapping up plot threads, which they have failed to do at all in DAO and DA2.

Seriously? **** the world. I honestly don't give a **** about the Mage/Templar conflict which DA2 did a terrible job of setting up. Let the player watch the world burn and change it how they want. Thats a far more interesting way to change things and be the catalyst of change than simply trying to return the world to status quo or having some NPC like Anders be the main agent of change.

This shot looks to have been taken right at  the start of the presentation. Mike asked people not to film or take  pictures and I think everyone complied. So teh odds of peope seeing this rumored image likely won't happen. Sorry.

Everyone complied...like the guy that took that picture?:wizard:

Well, that's right. We could play our warden and the others who don't want, an An Orlesian like Awakening. ( If we don't count those who don't want to play again a Warden, and there are many people, as much there are many people who want )

But after DA2 it was impossible, sure. It would have been even worse if we went from one story to another, and yet another. Here we will have a direct sequel. And to be honest, I'm so reassured and happy not to play Hawk, I'm not going to complain. It could have been worse, I really thought they would make us a sequel with him.

Yours - maybe. My Hero of Ferelden is healthy and alive and she happily fights Darkspawn. Hmmm. I hope there will be a chance to kill Hawke. Oh pleasepleaseplease his killer is our Hero of Ferleden or Orlais Grey Warden

Your Warden will eventually go to his calling and turn into a darkspawn, you know.

When a warden goes to a calling it's with the intention of dying before turning.

For people who say that the Warden's story over, it is not for me because of one simple reason:

He went with Morrigan, and producers have said several times "Morrigan is an essential piece to the story ..."

If she will appear, the Warden must also appear, he can not just disappear like  "When the Warden passed on the mirror, unfortunately he died, I do not know what happened... :/

I will not accept something like that.

Ya that would really be a let down. A SERIOUS problem. As of now my warden also went into the mirror and he is doing SOMETHING.

I Agree.

They Should have never been so ambiguous and anti-climatic in the first place.

Origins had a perfect conclusion, it was epic, it felt like the end, like The Warden won his/her rightful rest, But then they come up with Awakening, which i suppose had a decent conclusion, They should have left it there, But instead they make Witch Hunt and give him/her a horrible ending(which can hardly be called an ending), ON TOP OF WHICH they give him/her (and Hawke) a setup for something at the end of Dragon Age 2.

They have nobody to blame but themselves for getting into this mess, they can either fix it (properly), or ****** people off(again) by not fixing anything, or make everything worse (by doing something like your example)

Just to make it clear: i'm not saying i need to play him again, just that he needs a little more content to be over.

I also want to see what is happening on others locations of Thedas.
