For people who say that the Warden's story over, it is not for me because of one simple reason:

He went with Morrigan, and producers have said several times "Morrigan is an essential piece to the story ..."

If she will appear, the Warden must also appear, he can not just disappear like  "When the Warden passed on the mirror, unfortunately he died, I do not know what happened... :/

I will not accept something like that.

He will die because of Calling.
If we see Old God Baby, then "baby"probably  will be adult. If baby will be adult, then Warden will die, cuz wardens short life span.

I'm pretty sure that by the end of DA2 the warden would have been a grey warden for about 10 years. Wouldn't he have at least another 10 if not 20 years to go? In DAO when Alistair tells the warden about the taints eventual death sentence he says "you've got 30 years to live.........give or take"

That does make sense.

Yes, but I'll only "accept" this "excuse", if Morrigan also only appears after the same interval of time that will take to the Warden do the calling, but i dont remember exactly how much time that will take. And if Aliastair is alive at the end of DA2, so is the Warden.
I mean, c'mon, he stopped a Blight, he wont die for simple things.
---------------------------
I would very much accept a big mission, where Morrigan and the Warden comes along, and at the end he dies trying to save her from something.

PS: I still can't see the DA2 Q&A panel on saturday  (i know this is not the panel everyone is talking about), the video keeps stopping after 2~4 minutes, no matter at what part of the video i start.

My guess based on info (for stuff involving the warden).

- There will be a time when Hawke gets to meet, or something similar, with the Warden in a future DLC.

- New hero of the 3rd game will be the Old God Baby. And since part of it may be in DA2's ten years, the beginning might be a compilation of the time of his/her childhood (think Fallout 3). Since the Warden went with Morrigan, then he/she will take a part, if small, in those times. Hey, you might even get to see his/her death.

I'd like that.

On the subject of how long the Warden would last after the Blight from Gaider:

"Insofar as how long a Grey Warden could remain on the throne, it depends. The taint will make a Grey Warden age faster, so someone like Loghain isn't going to be able to stay a Grey Warden for very long as he's no young man. The "thirty years" quote is about the maximum, but the reality is that it depends on how often one is exposed to the corruption and sometimes just personal variance-- even so, for a monarch to stay on the throne upwards of thirty years is no mean feat. I don't really think that's the limiting factor when it comes to this sort of thing."

A lot would seem to depend on how much exposure to the darkspawn the Warden faced after the Archdemon died. It would also seem to suggest it would be unlikely for Loghain to still be alive after the end of DA2.

I'd like to find out what happened to my warden after she disappeard, and Alistairt damn well better have gone with her! After all, her awakening epilogue had her disappear with him, since I didn't put him on the throne.

As for Hawke, she still has a lot of story left I think. I really hope there is an expansion, that'd be the best way to finish her story.

The only thing that bugs me about the Warden's story being over and that they may get a cameo later is that things have been mentioned that I know my Dalish Warden would want to do something about; namely the hinting that something has happened with the Dalish land boon.

If it had just been left at "The land is there, there are tensions but that's to be expected" I wouldn't have been bothered but having Alistair say "I wish I could say that went better" and that he owes my Warden to make it work... what?! What's going on??? My Dalish Warden would be ALL OVER THAT like Anders leaving the GW to fight for mages. I know he would tell the Wardens to take a hike if his people needed him.

I'm basically saying we're already hitting choice and import problems based on how different all our wardens are. Don't make drama happen to something our wardens would care about and then tell us they're busy, my Warden's priorities do not work that way.

I'd love to see an older version of my Warden going to her Calling with a Warden Alistair with her.

I dont want DA2 to go back to origins combat..As for the new morrigan art,eh no biggy. Iswear if DA3 has un-fixable import bugs..like Zevran. I will be very annoyed..

They NEVER said they were reverting back to Origins combat...

They said DA:2's would be tweaked down a notch to be more realistic instead of the over the top stuff we're seeing now.

All right I still can't find any video of the panel on Bioware TV. I can see the livestream trivia contest, but no video from yesterday. Is it going to be uploaded at all?

This shot looks to have been taken right at  the start of the presentation. Mike asked people not to film or take  pictures and I think everyone complied. So teh odds of peope seeing this rumored image likely won't happen. Sorry.

Everyone complied...like the guy that took that picture?:wizard:

Confession time...that looks like it might be a grab of the video I started to take (a video which, I might add, cuts out pretty much the instant Mike asked us not to record). If BW would like me to take it down (even though it shows nothing but that grainy image), I will be happy to oblige. Just threw it up there so people would know I tried! ;)

I hope we won't have Morrigan & Warden in a DA2 DLC, that would be SO MUCH ****. They should really be in DA3 as a part of the main storyline depending on the choices made in Origins and its DLC's.

Developers said we'll meet Morrigan, Flemeth, possibly the Warden (possibly as in depending on if the player kept him alive/went through Eluvian or not perhaps?) and that the OGB storyline would be concluded. If they keep these 'promises' in a DA2 DLC, then I'll be buying DA3 when hell freezes over.

I've read some of the write ups on it but it's not the same as hearing the statements yourself. Yeah, no video of the panel sucks.

I'll just go and watch the video of other games that were at the Pax event and spend my time and interest on those instead *nods and goes back to doing what she was doing before the lack of share upset her (which is essentially Dragon Age related. Ssssh don't tell Desmond).*

Oh and I already put my warden into DA2, but it will be interesting to see how all these "promises" by the panel play out. :)

Oh please no, anything but that. I absolutly do not want to play the OGB!

The ogb is 10 year old at then end of da2, I seriously doubt we are going to see him in the next chapter. And he might not even be an ogb. Besides I want him to be at least a little evil or there is no reason not to take that route in da:o.

OGB is NOT canon for everyone. So it will be a different, brand new character or nothing else. I also want to play my Hawke above the rest.

Ok, first of all ... most people and fans LOVE story involving Grey wardens, darkspawn, our favorite 2 witches and other cameos.Laidlaw doesn't seem to understand that quite well. They say Legacy was a step in right direction, and than they go and crap it up again with old ****! Was the battle mechanics different in Legacy than in main game? Nope. Was it good because of the return to what audience really loves? YEAH! And now Gaider says, story of Warden Commander is over, but Hawke's is not! What the ...? I can't speak for others, but I hate Hawke, cause he represents all the bad that is in this franchise. I don't care about new protagonist, but I don't wanna see Hawke again in my life!

I don't love the stories about the grey wardens. In fact I am beginning to find them quite boring and irrelevant with approximately 400 years to the next blight. There are so many other rich and potential conflicts in Thedas.

Indeed! Mage/Templar war. Tevinter/ Qunari war. Orlais/ Ferelden war. Only states not involved in some war are Antiva,Nevarra and Rivain. Stroud during invasion mentions that something is happening in world MUCH more important than "some petty Qunari invasion"! So, yeah, i guess Anderfells ain't gonna miss out on war either. Darkspawn story/Flemeth story is a gold mine of ideas only half exploited! Sure, World war is impressive enough, but it can be put in next 3 sequels! There is SO MUCH potential for awesome storyline. And they'll blew it again, i'm sure.

I found Hawke's "rise to power" excruciatingly boring to endure. After 10 years hes nothing more than Fereldan peasant in my eyes.
