Oh shush, now you're just being bitter. =PThori wrote...
Nah, see, that's the easiest route, not the safest. Working a way for Warden to get back in series as an NPC ( i would very much like that, maybe even more than PC) would be incredible feat, and I'm assured Gaider could do it if only EA fckin games don't limit him again! ****s.
I don't think it's the writing that's going to be difficult, should they decide to bring our lovely Warden back. It's as Conduit0 wrote; Dragon Age 2 is presented by a whole new artstyle, one (should the Q&A at PAX be any indication) they are planning to keep. Import DAO's Warden with DA2's artstyle, and who knows, they may end up looking as Orana's long lost sibling.
And while that may be easily remedied by giving us a Character Creator beforehand and tweaking the Warden's face to our liking, then you still have the problem of what voice your character will be speaking with. As much as I'd adore just a simple standard cameo of a hooded Warden looking over their shoulder with a knowing smile on their face, I'm pretty sure the majority of BSN would like a more engaging role and actually have their character speak. Not only is the sound of the voice going to be a problem, but their pronounciation and the tone of their sentences is completely up to the player too. How are you going to translate the wishes of all the players into one character?
And had Teagan and Leliana's comments been left out of Dragon Age 2, I honestly couldn't agree more with this statement. Sadly, I've proven to be too much of a fangirl not to get my hopes up after DA2's ending.Conduit0 wrote...
As much as I'd love to see my Warden pop back up again, I can honestly say that if these forums are any indication, the safest route for BioWare to take is to simply leave the Warden in the past.
