Hawke's story isn't over because there is more DLC to come. When DA3 comes out we won't be playing Hawke anymore.

As regards the Warden, I think he had a conclusion. I don't need to follow his life up till he's old and grey. If you don't think his story had a conclusion, well he can get in line behind Revan =p

Well it took them 8  years, but Revan is finally  getting his conclusion.

That is so devastatingly disappointing.

I mean, I love books (I'm an avid reader), but this should have so been done in a computer game titled KOTOR 3:(

They could have just patched our wardens in with Stroud in DA2 for act 2 XD. Have him/her kind of wave at us LOL. Can't have them talking after all. Maybe they will have lost their voice due to a harrific kitten accident? er.. s

Problem is, both Stroud and Warden are Warden Commanders. Who would be in charge? :P

Just to clear something up...

Morrigan's offer of the Dark Ritual is not canon because she will not make the offer to all players.

I believe, in fact, that she does.  Even if she leaves your party beforehand, she will always come back and offer the player the Dark Ritual no matter what.

In the case of OGB, none of the female characters did the ritual.

They (potentially) did.  A female Warden obviously can't do the ritual herself, but female Wardens are offered it just like male Wardens.  Females just have to ask Alistair (or Loghain) to actually, you know...do it.

One of them beat an archdemon and stopped a blight while the other just fights regular darkspawn and really does nothing spectacular. The answer to your question should be quite clear.

Indeed, but why would  Stroud talk and Warden keep his jaw shut and stand in the background if Warden is the leader? ;)

The Warden has his lackies (Stroud in this case) to do the talking for him? Only reason I can think of. But would it have been so hard to give the warden a spoken dialogue lines? 4 VO's would do. 1 for male human/dwarf, 1 for male elf. 1 for female human/dwarf and 1 for female elf. These needn't be  unique VA's either. Anyway, this is a what if situation that doesn't matter so I don't even know why I'm bringing this up:pinched:

I wasn't aware of this, I had heard Morrigan didn't make the offer to female characters. I would suppose this would make the Dark Ritual canon. I'm not sure on the OGB-I seem to recall one of the devs saying that the OGB was not canon if you refused to do the ritual with Morrigan. I guess we'll find out in the future.

The choice is not canon if you refuse, both all wardens get the offer.

LOL, truly. This thing about Stroud even started as joke. :D though , it's so wierd how many people voted for Silent PC in the poll. Extraordinary, really.

Did they specifically say we'll see the Warden? Maybe we'll just hear about him/her. Totally possible for them to wrap it up that way.

I also agree with everyone wondering about carrying over a customized face for the Warden, especially since a lot of PC users modded the faces and obviously those wont transfer at all.

Face transfer wont be a problem. They can do similar **** liek they did with Shepard in ME2. Only in DA3 we wont be using advanced medical technology to restore face, but magical mirror.

Warden: Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the prettiest of them all!?
Xenon: I am! Muhahahahahahahahahaha ..... cough, cough .... ah, damn it!

And they did say there will be a meeting between Hawke and Warden, which means, yeah Warden is coming back for sure, unless they toss Hawke in the background as well and we only HEAR of their meeting. What a scam would that be.

The difference bewteen DA:O graphics and DA2 are much bigger than with ME's. And Hawke meeting the Warden, yeah it should definitly be a meeting that we get to see. If our new protagonist hears about it in DA3, no matter how good explanation to why we can't see them talking, it will be a disaster IMO.

Aveline has a line of dialogue in which she refers to the Warden, and she says, "You either find a voice or fall behind."

hint hint.

I'm glad he's getting resolution, he's had a hard knock life.

i pray to all that is holy that Bioware don´t decide that in DA3 that the warden dies. That would be a anti climax.

If the warden dies it should be when he/she as a protaganist in a new game when you do sacrifice yourself.

(some of us didn´t sacrifice ourself in DAO)

Could be worse: Corypheus posseses the Warden and he's the final boss battle of ME3. DUN DUN DUUUN!

Actually, that was just put in because Bioware wanted another boss battle. The real final boss battle of ME3 is against Conrad Verner.

Yup! He mysteriously returns from his quest to destroy the Sith Empire and arrives in time to save the world. Oh and I appear to have messed it up. I meant the Warden is the final boss battle of DA3, NOT ME3 of course.<_<

Yeah I meant DA3. Of course Conrad Verner is going to be a boss battle in ME3. During ME3 we find out that Conrad Verner is actually a millions year old alien in human disguise. He actually is the evil genious who built the Reapers millions of years ago. He's just returned to the citadel for some shopping and to aquire autographs (which he collects).

Damn- I shot that guy in the foot, no wonder the reapers are targeting humanity- he's pissed that I didn't pay his hospital bills! Image IPB

Can we get some details on the DLC that was mentioned at PAX already???
