as i just heard and heard over and over the warden story is "played out" "done with" but his decisions still have repercussions that we've yet to really see. id like to see him/her as a NPC(within the boundaries of the decisions made)
I'm a bit afraid that the Warden would come back as a NPC only because s/he would probably be portrayed as "pro Wardens". Awakening and most of DAO already ruined any chance to play Wardens who wanted nothing to do with the order and I don't want that happening again.

hawkes story needs a conclusion, samething goes for warden even though many says that the wardens story is done there were to many loose ends after origins and awakening.
when i first completed DA2 and before the announcement of DA3 i thought that DA3 will focus on the warden and hawkes story to make peace between Mages and templars with them as protaganist
Let me point out it was before the announcement

You know what? None of this matters! DA3 is scheduled to come out 2013. 2 years to make something better than DA2? Not likely. DAO was developed for 5 years at least. They wanna throw something better than DA2 in 2 years? Go ahead! I'm not buying it.<_<

I don't know someone posted that it was coming out in Feb or something on twitter but I thought it was a joke considering the date was the 31 of Feb 2013 and there is only 29 days or something that month...
You're right. I found that post, and it really is a major fail. 31 february 2013. LOL. Can't believe I fell for that. Idiot. My appologies.

I´m just worrying what will happen now if bioware is going to bring another new PC, their will be a new story to add to the DA franchise and it gets to much complicated by introducing another hero. You dont know where the stories will end.

I think that its much more complicated to bring the Warden or Hawke back in DA3. A new hero/ine for DA3 is IMO the best solution.
I love every Warden that i played (10+ playthroughs in DAO and still playing) but there are to "many" Wardens, different races with a different storyline. So just to bring the Warden back as NPC or a random encounter? No, leave my Warden where it is unless the Warden comes back as PC in DA3, but this will not happen.
Hawke? Yes, there are a lot of Hawke fans and there is the same amount of people who hates or at least dislike Hawke (im one of them). So bringing back Hawke for DA3 would be a big win for the players who like Hawke while the other fraction would not buy DA3 because of Hawke.
So its some kind of desperate situation. The best solution is the neutral one. Bring a new Hero for DA3 and you please both fraction.

You need to put things in perspective, Thori.
With Origins they had to build a new engine from scratch, and develop the entire DA world - from scratch.
DA3 will be built on the same engine as DA2, and the game world is already in place.
Besides, how do you know they aren't already hard at work with DA3? You don't.
It is foolish to judge a game based on it's "rumoured" release date.

If you could play as either of them, as hawke, as warden or as a new character, would be a good compromise for each and everyone, three different playthroughs, it might take hard work and time development but isn´t it better to wait considering it took 5 years for origin, and look what a success it was.
What do you think?
Nah. I'd rather just a new protagonist.

I allready appologized for my stupidity considering official release date. But i have experience with how EA games work. EA games have allways gone for quantity not quality! Their policy of releasing new games ASAP is ripping Bioware apart. I'm not saying that DA3 will be released in 2 years, but less than 4 years ISN'T enough time to make BETTER game. No matter that they already have suitable engine and game world.

Your opinion.
Have you ever worked for a gaming company like BioWare? If not, then you may want to consider being a bit more reserved with your judgements and forecasts.

If that's your opinion... however for a game only the ressources poured into the final product matter, not time. 10 programmers working 4 months on a game will achieve the same as 20 programmers in 2 months.Thori wrote...

But if for you production time is = quality then I recommend Duke Nukem Forever for you, after all it was more then 10! years in development.

Yeah! It's MY opinion! And I don' remember myself saying: This should be opinion of all of you, misslead fools!
Cause I didn't.
Express your opinion like me or don't, but don't start making accusations and petty arguements over WHO knows more about game development!
p.s. I don't know about graphics, animations and model design, but I do know about story making and implementing, and IT takes time! A lot of time!

Well if that was true then the Old Republic would be out already.....
In all honestly though, the Dragon Age games do need more time in the oven so as to bring the true feeling of the game's world and the different aspects of it. For me, the single most disappointing part of DA2 was the mage playthrough and how it was all but identical to the other classes, and for a Bioware game that's just not cutting it.
But with that said, I am optimistic because they learned their lesson well enough that they pushed back the release date of Mass Effect 3 so I look forward to Dragon Age 3 and more content for DA2.

Ah, I dunno anymore! I love Bioware, but I hate EA. Don't know what to think of it all. I'm very pessimistic about future BW games, and yet, deep inside I hope to see yet another of their games that will blow my mind.
