He might be referring to new story DLCs or an expansion, not necessarily DA3.

I don't mind Hawke, well sarcastic Hawke anyways.... If we do end up playing as Hawke again (Specualtion again ofc) I want the option to import Hawke's Love Interest to go with him. If not I want a reasonable explaination as to why they're not together again.

That sounds about right. I would ask if LI from DAO/Da2 will have any effect in the future.Cause all DAO LI end up in some position of power..the ones that live anyway.

Well Mike Laidlaw did mention 'plans' that seemed to regard import bugs, so it could be worth an ask. More worthwhile than more Varric romance questions, anyway..Dave of Canada wrote...

It just goes to show that you need to be really vigilant in filtering out everything you read on the forums here where somebody is telling you what somebody else said. Because, more than likely, that's not at all what the other person said.
Almost all the stuff attributed to the devs here ends up being complete nonsense, and I'm betting this tidbit was too.
