You mean, when a few colonies which aren't even in the Alliance were attacked, the Council treated them like big boys now.

Yeah, well you know what? When they were begging for help as the geth pummeled them I treated them like big boys too.

How does Council ass taste? You should try kissing someone else's butt every once in a while. Variety is the spice of life.

It could have... but it didn't. Humanity still wound up as the odd one out and when they needed help the Council told them to take a hike. Humanity gained nothing.

But Renegade Shep saved 10k human soldiers and much of the Fleet resources.

At the beginning of ME2 both renegade and paragon feel like theyve accomplished nothing, or at least way less then they were hoping for. Thats how Cerberus becomes relevant.

Its funny to see how players from both sides will complain the others got the best outcome.

It's funny. If I talk about how humanity should look out after itself and the other races to fend for themselves I'm treated like a horrible person. As though that makes me the badguy somehow.

The Council does the same thing you and the rest of you sheep sing their praises.

This is why I have no respect for you. Each and every one of you is a damn hypocrite.

Not Shepard's fault.

No, but that doesn't mean people won't blame him for it anyway.

Why? What would they have wanted Shepard to do?

The Geth were a galactic threat.  The collectors weren't.

I'll take the Asari councillor over TIM

Anything other than what he did.

Think of it like the rachni debriefing.

Coming from someone who advocates surrender to genocidal machines, your respect doesn't mean much to me.  And NO one here sings the Council's praises, even those of us that felt obligated to save them.Image IPB

Actually Saphra, most people treat you like a bad guy cause you go around enforcing your opinion as fact and insulting people,it kind of takes away from your credibility.

And the double-standards are disgusting, you make an assumption it is automatically fact, when someone else does it they are an idiot,it's not us...it's you.

I do wonder if you include me in this. Out of curiosity.

You want humans to be Councilor Velarn?

I do.  Well, I don't know about the current council, but as an institution it's record is incredibly superior to any human institution that's lasted even a vaguely comparable period.

No, you've made it clear what your goals. They're misguided, but understandable. You're a logical person so I believe one day you'll come around to the right side (my side).

No, it's his opinion.  And he intersperces it by calling people names, and dismissing their opinions with one sentence handwaves.

Humanity gained the strongest fleet, they did won something, however that may be noticeable until ME3, depends on how bioware develops it. Taking the paragon action results in humanity having a not nearly as strong fleet in ME2 and the asari staying as a capable military faction.

It is clear that saphra likes to argue points he or she clearly doesn't understand.

But when something fits his or her argument,(s)he uses it even if it doesn't fit,and then calls everyone else stupid when using the same argument against him...or her...

Score one for Saphra Deden. You drag in a post from another thread because you feel Saphra's mindset is personally insulting to you. Nothing could be further from the truth. Almost all Saphra's points being made are from an in-game perspective and until you learn to argue on that level you are clearly outmatched in this (and other) discussion(s). Nice try though.

Excuse me, would you mind quoting where I said I felt insulted?

Way to not read the post.

Please troll somewhere else.

Also,if you would have read that page, it clearly shows saphra meta-gaming,which is only rational when she does it...apparently.

Also........... It shows that I am not "outmatched" because I backed saphra into a wall, and the only response she could come up with, was flipping a comment around childishly and saying "Oh yeah, well if I'm meta-gaming so are you,so HA!"

So nice try.

Here are some paragon and right feeling decisions that I think may be harmful. (spoilerrific)

Not going after what's his name in Zeed's mission. (possible army raised against you)

Keeping the grey box in Kasumi's mission. (possible loss of allies, and Kasumi)

Re-programing the Geth in A House Divided. (possible tie up for quarians and geth)

Saving the Council. (possible stonewalling)

Warning the Batarians in Arrival. (possible emboldening of them against humanity)

Letting the Rachni queen live. (possible indoctrination)

Staying faithful to ME1 LI. (possibly moved on to James Vega causing heartbreak)

Giving Tali the information disk in ME1. (similar to re-programing the geth)

Telling Miranda to talk to her sister. (possible hostage situation)

Choosing to save Samara over Morinth. (possibly have more enemies)

Giving that Indian guy his wife's body. (possible loss of valuble intelligence)

Insulted because you couldn't differentiate Saphra calling people 'idiots' or 'hypocrites' from an in-game persona. Do I really need to make that any clearer?

Your link to some other topic is irrelevant. Make your point here.

That's not a Paragon/Renegade choice.  You can intimidate or charm your way to either resolution.

My Paragons all give Mr Bhatia an inspiring speech about heroism, and he agrees to the tests.

You should serperate those a bit...and for the council one, they say your spectre status will make a difference.

I would like to see what happens if you cheat, I don't have any unfaithful games so I wont be able to see myself.

Wow, so people can get away with insulting other people and just say "I was pretending that I was my in-game character, hur dur"?

I have to admit, I thought BSN was above that level of childishness by now. Apparently, I was wrong.
