If you read some posts earlier you could see: ^ nothing of this is installed here.
Besides: If I'm using an anti virus program and download the database I have not to agree to some suspicious EULA for scanning my data and transfer it to somewhere. If I decide to be offline I am offline and I can use the program as well. I cannot use the newest databases of course.
But in this case I cannot use the program at all if I decide: "I do not agree" and I cannot use it whether I bought the hard copy or not. That is the point. And, somebody already mentioned it, I do not know this at the time I buy the hard copy because there is no mention on it! So I will buy a game that I cannot play and then? Great deal! Money for nothing (good old Dire Straits).
The thing is: There was a time I could play with unplugged network cable. I'm a single player so I don't need it.
Then they decided to use online activation to prevent piracy. Ok, I'm going with it and trusted in: they only use the connection to transfer the activation data. I have no problem with that if it's true. Maybe that was my first fault.
Then they decided, i.e. Ubisoft, to force you to use a permanent online connection while you're playing. That was the point I gave Ubisoft up.
And now? Now they want to scan your complete hard and software. That is the point I will give EA and unfortunately BW up.
So, this isn't about prevent piracy or improve some service (If I want their service I will contact them I don't need this forced care). This is about spy on the customer for profit and control them. And I don't like this way.
