I'm not happy that Tali and Garrus are squadmates, but guess what? I'm dealing with it, so deal with it OP and people who are disappointed that Jack and Miri might be squadmates.

Let's see, my least favorite characters are Wrex, Garrus, Tali, Zaeed, and Grunt. But I wouldn't be thrilled if they were summarily banished from the game just because they don't leap off the page for me. That's what's great about a game like this, if you don't like somebody, you can ignore them and have a completely different game experience from someone who adores those same characters. Win-win.

I share the sentiment op. I am not happy about them being squaddies. I think a cameo would have been more than enough as far as I am concerned.

But I do recall it being said that some companions are not permanent. That they only show up when it makes sense for them to. Miranda and Jack being temporary companions is something I can certainly tolerate, and maybe hopefully enjoy.

In any case, hopefully they have companions I find interesting to counter-balance them should they be permanent.

It really doesn't matter to me for those two. But if I had to choose one, then I would choose Miri to keep, since she was all but the right hand to TIM and could build on a plot. Otherwise, I found her uninteresting. Jack was just plain "meh" to me in ME2.

Now, one thing I don't want is the VS coming back, I would find that jarring to be honest, and *this* is my opinion (so deal with it) .

Unlike Jack and Miranda it has already been confirmed that the VS is back and we've seen it already so your just gonna have to deal with it

In all honesty, it's fine to be annoyed by characters you don't like coming back and reading the OP again he/she never said that they shouldn't be back, so I may have been a bit harsh in my previous post.

Nonetheless, we will all really just have to deal with it. Or just suck it up like a princess.

And you weren't harsh, you just you tell it like it is (the best way really).

But seriously, I don't want it, just like I didn't want my dead friend to appear in DA2. I admit, I am just not too keen to Ashley anyway, though I like her toughness in firefights. Kaidan I can handle. But I think retconning is a no no. Hopefully the save imports will refelct my VS choice properly.

I am kinda hoping for a little more involvement of a few of the side characters in ME2, like Kelly, Dr. Chakwas and a lot more Joker. If Kelly isn't back in some kind of role, I will be sad, she made me smile.

I personally would love to see Miranda return to the squad as she's one of my favorite characters. I like Jack but I wouldn't be heart broken if she didn't return in a large capacity. It's really pointless to debate this sort of thing. It's all subjective and everyone has their own personal favorites. The only thing to do is wait till the game releases to find out for ourselves.

I am thrilled beyond belief Jack is returning and I sure do hope Femshep gets to romance her this time around. and if not I hope femshep gets to have a nice friendship path with her cause it was severely gimped in ME2 and Jack is 9 kinds of awesomesuace with a side of Awesome gravy.

I would like all of them in the game, but not necessarily as squad mates. Personally I preferred to just leave Miranda in her office, Tali at the engine, Mordin in the lab and Legion in the AI core.

Oh and I hope Thane do not return. God he is boring when you already listened to his dialogue once.

I was really happy to hear that Jack was returning, I feel that there is still so much to explore in her character. We still don't have a definite source as to why her biotic powers are so strong, was it because of Cerberus? Or was it due to some abnormality in the womn, or a combination of both?

As for Miranda, I wish I liked her, she is a well written character. But her personality clashes with mine, and also, I feel that the ass shots are overdone, and really diminish what is actually a well developed character (not in that way! )

As for Thane, this thread isn't about him.

As far as who you take on a misson I find that the woman squad mates fight harder then the males so I for one would g with the woman.

That sounds more like personal choice to me....

There are a lot of people who've involved themselves in the story arcs for these characters.  I want resolution to all of the ME characters in some form.  If you don't like them or aren't thrilled they're back then omit them from your playthroughs.  I wish people would stop whining about certain characters presence over others, it's pointless, they are there, they belong to Bioware and they'll have them there whether you want them to be there or not.

Personally, I want to see what happens with Miranda as she is one of my faves, Jack - I don't have as much connection with, but I want to see resolution to her story arc.

I got the feeling that there will be less potential squadmates in ME3 than in ME2 so I think some, probably the less popular (I can deal with it) and the DLCs (too bad that the funny Kasumi may be cut), will not be squadmates and maybe even not on the Normandy. I would still like to hear what happened to them after ME2 though.
