 I just finished my playthrough of ME1 and 2 on a new xbox that I have in order to retain my decisions for the big finale.  Because I beat ME2 within 3 days of it coming out and my girlfriend wouldn't let me touch it again til she played it (which she just did last month) I hadn't played Shadow Broker until today.  I romanced Liara in ME1, then romanced Tali in ME2 because through the main game Liara seems like she's now a nut and Tali is more mature and cool, plus her crush on you is pretty well done. I read ME Redemption and play LotSB and lo and behold, Liara is awesome and cool again!  So I had heard that if you romance someone else she'll just "congratulate" you on your new special friend and that's that at the end, but no she completely disregards it and gets right up on Shep first chance she gets.  It was consumated.  Why did she disregard the Tali thing?  Maybe it'll get brought up in ME3 cuz that'll be pretty interesting.
Tl;Dr -- Liara in ME1, Tali in ME2, Liara in LotSB as if Shep never left, goes against what I've read.  Why?

You have a choice; cheat on Liara, or cheat on Tali with Liara, or stay faithful to Tali. Pretty simple, she does disregard it if you let her, or you can bring it up, and tell her that you're with someone else.

I for one am keen to know if this leads to a potential cat fight in ME3. >)

i think it's in there to give us a canon li with liara in me3, even though it's a dlc there will have to be a 'canon' issue to deal with as far as the sb goes. like when you start me2 with no import it sets up the story for you with ash as your li and the the council dead(which is a renegade canon, strange that), i'm guessing if you start me3 with no import liara is your li. just a guess.

For sure about her being canon, I mean she has her own DLC and comics! haha and I didn't know it was normal that she'd disregard the other stuff, but I hope something interesting happens, I'm actually not doing it to be a jerk I really can't pick because they both are fantastic and interesting characters by the end of ME2...ME3 is going to be nuts

my shep was pissed at liara for basically ignoring him when he turns up after being dead for 2 years. of course he didn't know what we know, which is that SHE knew what the score was and was busy dealing with that(cerberus and sb etc), so he ended up a bit jaded and screwed everyone on the ship, then told liara, who was still cool even after he'd told her but ended up choosing miranda anyways, figuring a genetically engineered, naive, easy manipulated, perfect human being was the preferred match over an obsessed, jaded, hundred year old alien. go figure.

You re-intitiated the romance then during the convo after killing the SB.

If youd just help her with those codes in the main game, you'd find out how she helped you, and why shes obsessed with the SB.

Its strange how many people dont even bother to find out whats troubling her, and then complain that Liara is now "all different and wrong".

She always brought up the fact that I was with Tali with me, She was like;

"Its 2 years, and, your with someone... but..."
