If someone like Ashley can be a Specter. Than being specter dosent seem like a big deal.

That's harsh.:lol:It also doesn't make sense to me either. It's not like she's incompetent right?

It's harsh but true.  When I review the missions she was on that are known I think she is a bit incompetent.  She does well under proper Leadership but solo as a Spectre ?  Doesn't seem right.  Garrus calls out tacical info as you fight he's ready.  Anywho.

He proved in the suicide mission that he can lead a team so go for it.

Garrus becoming a specter at some point during ME3 makes sense to me unlike Ashley
unless there are somethings not known about Ash yet ... but who knows what missions she has been on since her mission on Horizon??

Garrus? A Spectre? Other than follow Shepard around like a puppy, what has he ever accomplished? Other than paint himself into a corner on Omega, I mean. Garrus doesn't seem to be very pro-Council either, I doubt the Council would consider Garrus to be Spectre material. Spectres make their own rules under Council Law, but they still serve the Council, and I can't see the Council believing that Garrus has the loyalty they're looking for.

No. He's a quitter. The reason Ashley and Kaidan are spectre's now is because they don't quit. They stayed with the Alliance and worked their way to the position, Garrus left a month after Shaprd died and went to Omega to play Shepard and failed.

He got the skills that he do need to be a Spectre but i got small doubts about him as a person being made for that role

I think he would be a great Spectre but the fact that he dropped out of Spectre training the first (second?) time around really wouldn't work in his favour.

Garrus could be the exception. Not only does he have great leadership skills but he definitely has great survival instincts which I think is even more important.

Spectres don't go through training. Garrus was under consideration, along with a **** load of other candiates.

Garrus is meant to be and always will be Shepard's second fiddle/bromance.

Yes. In fact, I hope there's a moment in ME3 where Shepard can request that Garrus be made into a Specter. Hell, the Council would probably give Shepard whatever the hell he wants at this point -- just so that he didn't bash them for not believing him about the Reapers.

The three people that deserve to be Spectres, based on their performance, tactical, and history, are Garrus, Miranda, and Jacob in that order.

Aren't spectres the boogeymen of the galaxy by now? I remember from somewhere that they were villainized after the Citadel attack.

If there's a DA-style prologue, I imagine Garrus will be made a Spectre if he survives the events of ME3.

Garrus is too tough for the Spectres! They are mere only mere mortals! He's Space Batman!

Garrus doesn't aim when he shoots, he wills targets to enter the path of his bullet!

Garrus can shoot eight bullets out of a six gun!

Big secret: Garrus doesn't use bullets- he just says, "bang" and his target dies from fright!

Garrus doesn't wear armor to protect himself; he wears armor to keep his awesomeness from warping reality.

Garrus' eye piece is really a scouter designed to find someone as badass as he is; only Shepherd and Chuck Norris ever pinged it.

Hmm... Garrus and Norris; coincidence?

Then again, Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer while Garrus' tears EAT REAPERS!!!!

"Garrus Vakarian" translated to English as "ultimate badass sex god and lord of death." In reality, English lacks enough awesomeness to adequately translate.

Look up "bad ass" in a human dictionary and you get a picture of Shepard. Attempting to place Garrus' picture in a Turian dictionary lead to an implosion of coolness that created the first Mass Relay.

Yeah... No. He's already favored over other characters more than he should be.

It would be nice if Garrus was given Spectre status it would actually make him an important character in the story, but as it is he's a character that's been a squadmember in all three games and he strangly has nothing to really add to the story... he never really has and that's odd.

Now, imagine if calibrations were part of the criteria for Spectre induction....

I would like it to be one possible ending to Garrus' story.

I agree...as much as I really like Garrus and would hate to see it happen, if there's a chance he could be made a Spectre there should be an equal chance that he gets killed in the course of the Game.

It would be nice if Garrus' story ended in one of two ways, seeing as how throughout the trilogy we have been able to push him in one of two directions. One could lead, ultimately, to a death (no doubt heroic and tragic) whilst the other would see him finding his place in the Galaxy.

I think Jacob would make a better Spectre candidate than Garrus or the VS.

I agree. In ME2 only Shepard has a better resume. Of course I'm biased but who isn't.

Realistically he's already turned it down showing he's not all that keen on the idea but if I've got to have a spector who I know on my team I'd rather Garrus give it another go and be that spector rather then VS who for political reasons got it handed to them to fill shep's void. I find Garrus 1% more believable as a spector then VS.

EDIT: When I told BW shep really needs a spector to work with who he can relate to and who doesn't try to kill him I didn't mean get someone from the old team to be a spector I meant just introduce a brandnew guy whose a long time spector to help shep out and be his mirror. For instance another Turian would've done fine giving us one who lives the whole game (unlike Nhilus) and doesn't want to kill us (like Saren) would've been just great for me.

Does Garrus even want to be a Spectre? He deserves to be, but I dont think he wants to be. And well nobody knew he was archangel or on the suicide mission, as far as the council knows he's just some guy who couldn't hack being in C-Sec and didn't follow orders, so they wouldn't bother with him, even if he actually does have the skills, becuase they dont know about it.
