Anyway, I think it should continue. It'd be a waste of a perfectly good IP not to continue.

It's just a sequel to a completely concluded story, that should never have been made, and is only being made, for money.
Yeah, and that's seriously not the case with Mass Effect, right?
Yes. Every ME game after ME3, that is.

Spin-offs, prequels, reboots. There are plenty ways to continue a franchise without ruining them.

Mass Effect MMO game... Totally see that coming just like it did for KOTOR.
Yup Revan 'disappeared'... see how that pans out when TOR comes out.

If Bioware already is doing a spacebased MMO why would they make another one and compete with themselves?
I personally wouldn't mind Shepard's story continuing, The Galaxy devastated after the reaper invasion could supply plenty of storylines that wouldn't seem like "milking" to me. But another even more ancient evil then the reapers no one heard about until now I could do without.

But Shepard, and most if not all of the main characters we know now should be out of the picture. If most of or all of them still were, the trilogy would effectively be pointless.

Please no, just to avoid the hundreds of threads on this alone. I don't think enough people will accept a new protagonist.

I agree with this. And what TobyEyes said. And Whitehawk, except for the MMO part. I don't play MMOs, so I'd be disappointed if their next project in the ME universe was an MMO. But I'm with most of the others; I'd rather not the Mass Effect IP continue.

IMO, no. Bioware have created a great story, and will be closing it with ME3. Any attempt to come up with a new plot would most likely destroy the artistic integrity of the original trilogy (much like Halo 4).
I would rather remember ME as a great series, and have Bioware move onto something new.
Traditionally, they've never been a company that uses one IP for very long, be it their own or leased, but since EA acquired them, perhaps they'll just keep producing ME and DA games forever more now.
Yay, can't wait for ME15 in 12 years...
it wouldnt be too bad if they made a game with another charecter from that universe im sure theyll make a game of shepards past
but than again your right i want to just remember it as a great series
unlike how halo is being unbelievable milked out and is now officilally in my opinion dead after halo 4 its disqusting

Star Wars isnt their IP which restricts their ability to play with it and if it is likely to increase their profit value they will do it without fail.
The idea of a continuing ME series that uses import data from previous games as a sort of continuing story that diverges more and more is intellectually interesting but frankly never going to happen.
Events in ME 2 have barely any noticeable divergency from ME 1 decisions and as time increases the divergence would increase.
ME 4 - The opening crawl introduction would be filled with text asking questions what Shepard did inorder for the game to reflect those changes ingame. Otherwise the game has to make obscure references to Shepard inorder to avoid getting into what happened or pick a 'canon' decision and roll with it.
Shepard was a Paragon guy that stopped the Reapers ?
*Poof*
Mass Effect fans that played a Renegade or female are not canon
Would be far more likely to see the dreaded 'Origin' story that most franchise get like playing as David Anderson when he was young... or Saren... or Nihlus etc.

Yes, but there is more to it. WoW was made to be addictive, not to be a great game.

But on topic, yes, I see no reason why it shouldn't. There are so many stories to be told.
