 I mean like, I romance Kaiden, then Jacob, but Jacob died and none of the squad comments on the romances in Me2, so how they gonna find out?

Because when Liara or Ash greets you and you go to the ship your me2 love interest is gonna greet you the same way in front of them. Plus they stalk you, checking your pants and omni tool for female contacts info.

Liara knows. She is an information broker. Ash or Kaidan, I don't know how that will play out. It is one of the things I'm most looking forward to besides how Shepard defeats the reapers.

If any of the Cerberus crew are still around, gossip. otherwise, they'll see or hear something eventually, its not a big ship.

Or maybe, our favourite punching bag will bring it up. I can easily see our choice of LI being the.smear.angle.this time.

if new LI is still alive, they will probably be more demonstrative with Shepard and some PDA will happen in front of the old LI, cue awkward conversation. if new LI is dead, then someone might mention how sorry they are that your lover didn't make it and hope you are coping ok... Or maybe Shepard ends up slipping up without player control (kinda like confirming Cerberus association on Horizon no matter which conversation option you chose)

It's comforting that she cares and worries abou Shepard, making sure he or she is alright, it gets creepy if she watches you sleep, heavy breathing just coming out of some hidden microphone and Shep is trying out find out what it is and where it is coming from. Shep swears he heard liaras voice saying 'Shepard is on the toilet reading the newspaper' like big brother!
