They knew even before you expressed any interest in Liara. Could make for some interesting confrontation in ME3.

Ashley: "I know you're with Miranda!"
Shepard: "What.. I don't know what you're ta.."
Ashley: "You talked to her not once, not even twice but THREE times! Do you think I'm stupid?!"
Shepard: <_<
Ashley: "And what about Tali? I know you went down there to talk to her a few times!"

Ashley: "And don't even get me started about Jack!"

In all seriousness, Liara knows if Shepard has someone else, she makes this quite clear during Lotsb even before she becomes the Shadow broker. There will be no  hiding from Liara. Ashley/Kaidan will probably confront Shepard by saying something like: "I heard about you and [enter LI], so..." without ever mentioning where they got it from. My money would be on Joker, doubt he can keep his mouth shut about stuff like this.

"Shepard, I was so worried about you! You weren't hurt were you?" Tali says as she runs up to Shepard and engulfs him in a tight hug, Ashley watchs and her left eye begins to twitch.

"You cheated on me?!" Ashley hissed angrily at Shepard.

Tali looks at Ashley and narrows her eyes, she then gets between Shepard and Ashley. "You had your chance to have him again on Horizon and you left him heart broken. Shepard and I are together now so don't you dare try to take him from me!" Tali angrily hissed back.

*Ash and Tali proceed to stare eachother down or begin fighting*



Sure it may be farfetched, but it would be funny to watch.

More realistic answer? Either Mordin, Kasumi or Kelly Chambers. All make comments, all can easily be considered "talkers"... which is weird, since Kasumi is supposed to be stealthy.

I don't actually think its that far.fetched, particularly in Tali's case, for an impulsive PDA to be the trigger for a confrontation.

Doesn't it seem odd most of us believe that Tali will be possessive and agressive even though we really haven't seen how she would act with Shepard around other women.

Pretty much; this is actually how I envision the convo going with Ashley/Kaidain.

VS: So I heard about you and "insert ME2 romance here?"
Shepard: ("She/He's special to me," "I thought you and me were over," or "I'm sorry, I promise I won't ever let anything like that happen again.")
VS: So where does that leave us?

Then Shepard has the chance on whether to reestablish the relationship or not. If Shep dumps VS, then you get a loyalty penalty or it's just harder to regain VS loyalty. If you remain in the relationship even though you slept with someone else, the relationship is strained but still functional.

Well I can believe Liara knowing that Shepard has moved on. She is an information broker in the second game and I suspect that Liara would keep tabs on Shepard. As for Kaiden and Ashley Im not sure.

Kasumi is secretly obsessed with Shepard.  Her master plan is to de-rail any potential love interests or competition so that she can have the commander all to herself!  So, yes they WILL know if Shepard has been unfaithful.

Liara calls Shepard out on it before you leave Illium.  She says, "I'm an information broker, I learn things."  It's the third interrupt and Liara only knows if you do the LotSB after doing the SM.  If you do it before, you haven't been with anyone yet.

I'm not sure how Ashley or Kaidan finds out, but I wouldn't rule out Joker's big mouth.  Or some scene that has the ME2 LI doing something like hugging Shepard or something else in front of the ME1 LI.

Harbringer assumes direct control of a crew member and blurts it out while Hawke's...umm, I mean while Shepard's love interests are with him. That's how Shepard gets caught out and then Harbringer watches Shepard's LI's beating him up for cheating on them and then he starts ******.

Because Tali gets feisty as soon as someone does something that is even the least bit annoying to her.
