I think he just meant it's not how he pictures her himself.  "doesn't look like a Celene."  Never understood why people have preconceptions of how someone with a certain name should look, but there ya go...

I'm trying to think of what Empress Celene might (and should) look like.

And I remember David Gaider saying that he wants to take this pic and tell the Art team that this is how Celene should look like, about more than a year ago.

Not how I visualized Celene either...too 18th century, as well as too young.

It usually has to do with the name of the person.

If you were going to go on a date with a woman named Berta, would you think of her as being a big woman who could tear off your arms and feed them to you or a petite woman with a great body and face? Most people if not everyone would think of the former.



And then they'd be shocked to find out it was actually the latter.

I'm really going to miss that show. Why does Charlie Sheen have to be such a ******? *sigh* Anyway, I know what you mean. I just think it's a faulty assumption. A person's appearance is, for the most part, chosen by their DNA long before even birth. It can't have anything to do with what their parents end up calling them, especially given a very common tradition of naming children after other people.

We really don't have much to go on about what Celene 'should' look like. I searched the codex and couldn't even find an entry for her, just an... eyebrow-raising compliment she paid Anora. The only thing we have to go on is that she's female and at least old enough to have taken the throne in 9:20 Dragon. Which means she could be in her late 20's by the time the 2 DA games begin.

Anderfels! Because nobody would grin at my lovely german accent!  Grim, orderly and devout people everwhere, who excel at being soldiers and bashing in some darkspawn skulls. Sounds like the good old teutonic days to me

If they're incredibly lucky, they can pull out another season. But shows rarely survive long after losing one of the main characters. X-Files, That 70's Show, even 8 Simple Rules went down in flames despite the massive sympathy following John Ritter's death. Speaking of death, killing off Sheen's character is incredibly stupid. It's a comedy. People don't watch comedies to see characters they've spent 8 years with become worm food. There's enough depressing crap in real life, they tune in on a comedy to escape that, not enhance it.

And while DNA does determine our look for the most part, it's still a common thing for humans to picture what someone looks like based on names.

Searching http://dragonage.wik...acters_(Origins) ... I was expecting her to have her own codex, but the only mention of her was in Anora's codex stating that Celene had said "Anora of Ferelden is a solitary rose among brambles."
