Is There a Mod to make DAO Combat Closer to DA2?

It's just that I played DA2 for hours and hours, and now I'm so used to its flashy combat animations. So once again is there any mods out there that can do this for me? Or must I ween myself back into the glory that is DAO?
I don't want the spells and talent animations to change just the normal attack animations.

Its still pretty good just not very backwards compatible friendly.
(As in say going from DA1 to DA2 is easy, going from DA2 back to DA is hard for some)

Got DAO from release day then got Awakening: played it and thought OMG what a waste of money watching paint dry while being stabbed was more entertaining and the combat was just attrocious in everyway so low and behold with some doubt in my head i bought DA2 and wow how totally refreshing ok so the story wasnt as long and you dont have as many dialogue choices and your tied down to being a human and stuck in 1 city but did i care no i didnt for once in years i had combat that i could enjoy and my character didnt feel like an athritic 80 year old trying to fight then I tried 3 months later to have another go at Origins give it a second chance you know and the result was EPIC FAIL now i play DA2 only and my DAO disk was laminated and is now a Soda coaster/Beermat

Anyway, Faster Combat (Which was posted above) is the closest thing to what you were looking for. (I cant seem to find any flashier combat mods)
http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=2577 says it was based on DA2. Im not sure if it is the same thing as above though, just found it at the bottom of a mod list.

For the quintessential RPG experience with turn-based combat and tactics (à la Baldur's Gate), play DAO.
In short, it's pointless wishing DAO played like a different game - especially considering the saturation "fast and flashy" has on the market. Much to my disappointment, Bioware made DA2 to appease your audience. They made DAO for those who appreciated the previous offerings from Black Isle.

New combat running animations
http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1981
or the version one I use

There's a bunch more like "faster archery talents", "Deathblow" (about 50 new deathblow animations...) and such on the nexus.

For fast-combat which requires little strategy, play DA2 or one of the many Diablo clones available on the market.

I played baldur's gate, planescape torment, neverwinter nights, Icewind dale, etc etc etc, and I prefer very much dragon age 2 and its combat and main character, than the "speechless, voiceless and paraplegic - can't lift a 2h sword without breaking a rib" main "character" of DAO.

I'd like to see you pick up a medieval greatsword and swing it around once every 2.5 seconds.
And, amusingly, all of those D&D games you listed have significantly slower attacks than DA:O
