Hello, folks.

I'm asking myself whether or not I should get NWNX. It seems like a definite "yes" if taken just like that, but I was told that NWNX doesn't get along with 64-bit operating systems, which I have. I'm wondering what are the incompatibilities I should expect and whether it's worth learning how to use NWNX if my usage of it will be limited (depending on how limited it is). So, does anyone know how badly NWNX reacts to 64-bit?

Thanks for the advice.

As far as I know, it works fine on x64 Windows and Linux systems. Windows doesn't require any additional setup, on Linux you'll have to set up a 32-bit chroot environment (also very straightforward, there are guides on that).

If you're worried about it, you could always use NWNIAB, which runs linux + nwnx in a virtual machine. That's what I use on my Win 7 64 Home computer.

From a purely Windows standpoint, I have had NWNX running fine on both Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 (64-bit) systems with no additional setup or changes needed for it to work.

I have 64bit Vista and im using nwnx_funcs and nwnx_events, both working just fine and those are arguably the most awesome (!!!) plugins for nwnx.  I remember thinking myself like that, but one day due to boredom I decided to download nwnx and those two plugins and I couldn't even dream of using the toolset without them.

Well great. My friend says his 64 bit crashes every time he tries to NWNX it up. Must be some conflicting settings. Thanks people!
