ok so i was completly disappointed with this little bull **** that we have all waited so long for. bioware new how big da2 was and to follow up with legacy as a way to just put something out come on. awakenings was a way better follow up on the expansion front kept us entertained for a lot longer and drew u deeper into the world of da. i don't know about anyone else but was a little pissed off and felt cheeted with legacy. thought it was sub par and over all a second rate piece crap.

I actually enjoyed Legacy - the story, the continuation of the lore, the battles, etc.

I don't know that it's fair to compare it to Awakening though. A different story is being told. It might be that Hawke's tale spans several DLCs - spread out in smaller chapters perhaps.

Let me get this straight. You're complaining that a $10 DLC is not as broad or deep as a $40 retail expansion pack?

What if Bioware included a strip of bacon with every copy? Would that satisfy your internal gaming carnivore?

this.

and I managed to buy Awakening for $15- $25. Though it may have been during some sort of sale or something on the PSN. I don't remember.

Legacy was great in all aspects except I personally found it to be a bit short even when completing all the quests. Other than that there's nothing wrong with it.

I don't remember any meat being in Awakening at all, or anywhere else in Dragon Age. Unless you're refering to the dead carcasses that lay at your feet after every battle.

While I would have preferred an expansion, Legacy was good for what it was: a dlc.

The extra items could have been better, but the plot was nice, and the battles fun. Overall, it was a good dlc, not an expansion.

Legacy was great in my opinion. Not only was it easily 2+ hours (which is very good fr a DLC) it had great story elements and some fun fights(not corypheus lol).

How an you possibly expect a DLC to match up against a full on expansion. You do understand they are completely different?

In terms of both length and story elements I think Legacy matches up against any of Bioware's DLC from MEs or DAs. And ME had a lot of good dlc stuff.

This.

How can you expect that Legacy was like Awakenings if Bioware explicitly said that it would not be an expansion, but an 3+ hour DLC.

Sorry, but you are a troll, or just plain dumb.

Though, on the flip side, I felt it had great replayability because you do get different convos and reactions depending on who you bring and different end scenes depending on when you play. That more than makes up for the length, imo.

Yes, it's most likely a bug, although the develpoers said it's "intentional" lol.

Can we please not do this kind of stuff? It doesn't further the discussion at all. It just seeds a flame war.

We got "DA:O: more of the same" with Awakenings, which was worth it for some of us. It seems from what you said that you got "DA2: more of the same" with Legacy, too.

If this time you got less game, perhaps make allowances for the fact that it was cheaper, and if you felt there was a relative paucity of content, perhaps remember that's how DA2 was, too.

I haven't purchased Legacy yet, but I thought it was supposed to be an "expansion" too. I guess the price should tell you that it is a DLC instead, bummer. Seems a lot of people are happy with it though. I'll probably grab this soon just because I love Dragon Age and I want more.
