Ok I need help...

Recently I helped a friend with his copy of DA:O regarding logging in issues/DLC (it was a brand new game and account on his system), as part of helping him I logged into his account in my DA:O game, after this I cannot access any of my DLC content as it was coming up as unauthroised... My game is the Steam Ultimate Edition

BEFORE anyone asks I have gone through the whole list of the FAQ for DLS problems and nothing has worked... as part of this I accessed my services window (I am running Windows XP) to look for the Dragon Age Updater Service incase this needed starting/stopping/set to manual/auto.

However the service itself has NO Description, NO Status and NO startup type... in addition to this, right clicking the service comes up with greyed out (unclickable) buttons for Start/Stop/Pause/Resume/Restart and trying to access properties comes up with Error 5. I have tried all the suggestions in the unofficial DLC FAQ and nothing works.

After this I have tried uninstalling and installing the game again twice (48Gb's @ 1.1Mb/S... 5 evening wasted) and the service stays the same. I have the game un-installed now with the service STILL in the list.

So my question is :) ..... how the friggin' hell do you delete a service that you cannot get access to even though I am running the admin user?

Oh, forgot to say, i've played and complete the main game before.

Right... I have resolved this.... it seems that my registry was corrupted, stopping me from doing anything with the service. For those that might have this issue I used CCleaner to remove the registry entry (free program!!)
