As a prelude to Mass Effect 3, i purchased the Arrival DLC off the BioWare Official DLC website. No problems in the purchasing or downloading portion. However, when I attempted to play the game, I received a message "Unable to authorize DLC purchase of - Arrival. Please log in to the Cerberus network with the account used to purchase the DLC to authorize it." I have been unable to log in to the Cerberus network for some time, but haven't paid much attention to it until now. When I attempted to log in, every password that I entered was wrong. When I attempted to change my password, not even the changed password worked.
Are new DLC for Mass Effect 2 unsupported? Is the Arrival unplayable?

I suppose I should provide some specs to help with any solutions. I have a physical disc, 3.06 GHz processor, 6.00 GB RAM, plenty of memory, running on Windows 7 x64.

You have to log in once before you can play. Make sure your password doesn't contain ANY special characters, like @&!?, or it will not work. If continued problems persist, then EA.com may be your best support option.

This has indeed solved the problem. Did not know that you can't have special characters in your password. McSupersport, I tip my hat to you.
I had been told by EA tech support that the problem was recognized but unsolvable without a new patch, unlikely with ME3 coming out.

Glad to hear you got it fixed, and you are by no means the first to run into the special character fiasco. There are several other posters with varying, ummmmm, heat levels, discussing the stupidity of it.

It's the Internet, why get angry? I'll never understand some forumites.
