jack is so much more likable than liara and not to mention tali , her and samara are the only likable females in the game (i find samras code thing pretty kewell)Humanoid_Typhoon wrote...
There is plenty not to like about Jack,it's most likely one of the usual reasons people dislike her, that's why I didn't ask.heyimacrab wrote...

And by "usual" I mean, The hair, her attitude, tats,no shirt,voice....all that kind of thing.

yeah shes a really deep character and that type of character is needed in the gamegreengoron89 wrote...
Hey, you might not like her religious views (I don't either), but Ashley is actually a brilliantly written character. She's a truly human character - someone you could just as easily meet out on the street in real life (and often do). Most characters in videogames sorely lack that sort of depth and realism. I respect her (even if she is a bit of a bible thumper).
thats why i stayed loyal to her during me2
kelly was just so genuine it was tempting

If you want my bottom three I would have to say Ash, Kaden and Jacob. Miri is acceptable though the rest of the human characters were pathetic in my opinion. And no I dont do DLC so I have no comment on any humans from them.
i let kaidan die on all 9 of my playthroughs . i honored the sacrifices by putting him as my avatar
I wouldnt even plant weeds on his grave.... Just a bad character and Ash wasnt much better, she brought in religion to the game, one specific religion. Not cool.
Jacob was well.... not a good word lets leave it at that.
I get the dislike of Jacob, but what reason do you have against Kaidan? He was just an over all nice guy and refreshingly sane. And maybe I'm misreading that, but do hate Ash because she's slightly religous? I just don't follow the thought process here.and it wouldnt have affected my experience.

Its just a personal view. You like her cause you find that she has depth, I dont see that so I dont like her. It wasnt just her religious views but her whole character in general. I dont want to have somebody I can go out on the street and find. If I wanted that I would actually go out to the street and meet them. I want a character that creates situations and has a history that is full of mystery with relation to the events of the game. One that makes me want to find out more about them. Ash simply didnt have that for me.

I understand both arguments.
Personally, I accept that she's exceptionally well written -- indeed, probably the best written character in ME1 -- but her realism gave her this honest...aura...of naivity that I loathed. I just hated that the first thing she says when she enters the Citadel is You can't tell the aliens from the animals! Eew!. Seriously...how fvcking dense do you have to be? Especially when every other other race out there has been space traveling since the people on Earth were still burning witches, and banging sticks together to make fires! It's the conviction with how she thinks that pissed me off so much -- like she's certain she's right, even though she's only 26 or whatever.
She's damn lucky that she was a woman, because otherwise I wouldn't have saved her ass on Virmire.

I can understand that. I just found it refreshing to meet a "real" character for a change (something Mass Effect seems to exceed at in general). Garrus is also another "real" character (and my favorite) - he comes off as someone you can just relax and enjoy a good brew with. Great character.

Miranda - Attractive, Smart, Well-rounded to be effective as a team member for any class. She is mandatory for almost every single mission on any of my characters.
Legion - BW seems to do robots rather well. HK-47 was an instant classic for KOTOR and Legion seems to follow that mold. The lack of emotions and face require any expressions to be more subtle.
I.E "There was a hole, No Data available"
Garrus - Robust character that has remained consistently capable between the games. Just kinda sad that he gets limited development compared to others.
Disliked:
Jacob - Uninteresting, uninspiring and frankly a useless gameplay character
Tali - Whine, I can die from a cough, whine. I'll take Reeger over her please. The over hype this character gets because of her face etc. just adds to the frustration with the fan service this character gets.
Grunt and by extension the whole Krogan race - ME attempt at making Klingons.
I found Klingons equally insulting and annoying. Rar... Warrior race... Rar kill everything.
Grunt is pretty much the personificaiton of this mindless violence and it grows tiresome very quickly.
Grunt - "Rar... I'm gonna kill you when we are done"
Shepard - EDI, Vent Grunt into space, I dont need this ****

In that case:
1)Wrex-Always number one, my favorite character and I can't imagine that changing
2)Illusive Man-great character, but still want to kill him. He is a great personality, but that doesn't mean I like him as a hero or anything
3)Anderson-I knew he was a badass for a high ranking old guy, and eventually a politician. Then I read the books, he is simply a badass, and I wish we were playing him as the trilogies hero:)
