When you first get to Neverwinter and have to decide which direction to go, is it possible to do quests for both?

ya, know what you mean.
First time i got to Neverwinter i was playing a sorta Chaotic-Neutral/Neutral-Good dwarf and came across the capo tucked back there. Of course he tried recruiting and i was giving sarcastic responses ... what i *thought* were sarcastic responses, then *bam* my PC was recruited by the thugs.
so, don't look for too much subtlety in the conversations eh

I'm going Shadow as I've never gone that way before, and had actually never thought of trying both groups at the same time. Anyhow for this play through I figure the thieves might figt I a Swash/Duelist/Shadow/WM a little more, and this is a new trial build for me that I thought might make an interesting combination.

When taking the Watch route, you could play Lawful Evil to an extent. I found it when going through the game when I was going for being Lawful Good Evil other reasons.

Chaotic good can do watch also,but thives are more Evil of Evil sort;).Chaotic and Neutral.
