I was just wondering, from a role playing stance, if it is possible for you to manage without a mage after you lose your sibling? So either from the Deep Roads expedition onwards, if you leave Bethany behind, or post Deep Roads if you take her with you and she dies. So once it becomes clear (after doing the Karl quest) that Anders is in fact possessed and that Merrill is a blood mage, if Hawke refuses to work with them, is this a viable prospect? I would imagine it would be easier as a Warrior - Templar because of the magic nullifying abilities but wondered if anyone had tried it?
Is it possible to complete the story without magic?

Yeah, and it's not even all that hard. You use a lot of potions and you have to manage that resource a bit more carefully is all, but warriors do very respectable AoE damage and Hawke as a Shadow-Assassin can one or two-shot almost anything in the game, bosses included.
