Saren and his crew flew around inside this robot. I think it's weird that these superintelligent robot race has chairs and stuff inside him for people to live in, it must have sleeping quarters and toilets too, right?
Just thought of it while eating my pancakes and had to leave the table to post this. A Reaper toilet, that's wrong.

I think Sovereign just replaced their digestive systems with Reaper tech like what happened to the Collectors.

It’s not really weird when you understand that the Reapers don’t build themselves today, and the original Reapers certainly didn’t build themselves either. My thought of the Reaper origin is a millennial old species or galactic civilisation that sought immortality in some fashion. If my hypothesis is correct, Sovereign and Harbinger are two of the first Reapers. As everyone knows, Reapers talk of themselves as a group of individuals. They do not say “I”, they say “we”. I believe that their consciousness is a twisted form of those thousands or millions of individuals used to create the Reaper.
Reapers, however, are large constructs. They may very well rely on the indoctrinated to keep their systems running within, or repair damage within. As well, they of course need the indoctrinated to create new Reapers and gather individuals. So it makes sense that they’d have chairs and rooms inside the ship. Only thing I imagine Reapers wouldn’t have are windows, navigation, or combat centres. After all, the Reaper can do all of that. They just need people for repair.
On another note, I have a feeling that the Reapers are responsible for not only the technological evolution of organics, but for the biological evolution. I’ve thought that the original Reaper species was humanoid, and possibly spread their genetic code to various worlds in hopes that life would evolve like them. Just a hypothesis, however, nothing I’ve heard from sources.

Ahaha, that made me giggle. Reapers have just lost all terror for me now that I realize they have, you know, humans (and turians and asari and whatnot) doing their business inside them. Riding the porcelain bus, if you will. Experiencing Montezuma's Revenge. Going to speak with a man about a horse. Making a core dump. Pooping.

that's what my gf said when i first told her about he reapers etc. it'd be like farting in kitt, he'd probably be pissed and hit the turbo over a pothole so you bash your head on the roof, but what about making out with a blonde then taking her up the point for some r n r? what would he think of that? 'uh, michael, this is quite inappropriate behaviour, especially not using protection, this is the 80's you know'. i always thought saren and benezia had something going on, how he grabs her face and stuff after wrecking sovereigns chairs(which it had to of chastised him for, 'hey you broke my chair you bastard!'), that was the perfect entry into some rough matriarch sex all over sovereigns guts.

As Sovereign seems to be the Reaper's leader (appearing in Prothean beacon message and being the only one doing preparations for arrival) I would say he is one of the oldest Reapers and whoever built Sovereign also built the chairs in it. It was obviously at first intended to be a spaceship (compare to ME2's incomplete Reaper).
Not to mention that, I recall, most Reapers we see in ME2's ending look like Sovereign - I would say that their creators build a few Reapers like this, and when they took over and started living their own lives they began building their own Reapers to represent the civilizations they've smashed.
