It's DAO's only expansion. As to why it's expensive, I don't know. It wasn't that expensive when I pre-ordered it off amazon shortly before it was released, so its likely much cheaper now.

Some of the descisions from Awakening do carry over to DA2, but more importantly, certain companions from Awakening have a major impact and role in DA2.

DAA is DLC for DAO i would not get it if i were you the story is shorter bosses to easy allmost eveything in that game is to easy.

Very odd for someone on this site to discourage others from buying the sites products.

Anyways...I would absolutely buy it. Anything that further the dragon age origins story is worth it in my opinion.

Im just saying if he/she hates short games then if i were him/her i would not buy it why?because the game is 13 hours long and its to easy origins was like 56 hours long and it was a hard game.

DAA is good,but it is kinda short. If you want to learn more about the Dragon Age Universe,get. Honestly its your choice to buy it or not.

Awakening has Anders and Nathaniel who are in DA2. Well thanks to a carry over glitch to get the Nathaniel quest in DA2 he has to be in your final battle party or else DA2 flags him as dead. As for Anders and Justice, no matter what you do to them in your game, Bioware decided to dictate that yes you did take them with you even if you actually didn't.

Anders is NOTHING like his DA2 self. He's like Alistair, goofy. And he has a different voice actor. You'll also meet Justice. If you play Legacy and have Anders he'll talk about the Architect (as will Nathaniel in his quest) if you carried a save file over from Awakening.

I liked Awakening though.

It is short, but its an expansion so what do you expect? There are plot holes and glitches and they never made a patch for the game but if you want more of what Origins had then play it. They also give each class new abilities and specializations.

It is Origins first and only expansion. It adds about 20 to 30 more hours of gameplay with new story and companions.
Its so much because you are looking at as the online download on Xbox Live. (I have looked up your information and see you have the 360 version of the game).
I have looked up online retailer sites (amazon.com for example) and see the hard copy of the game is going for $5 to $13 and the Ultimate Edition is going for $21. (Ultimate Edition includes both Orgins and Awakening and all the current DLC. Its a deal)
So its not actualy that much.

As for involvment in Dragon Age 2 and eventualy 3. Yes it has alot to do with your game and your choices for shaping the world of Thedas. Theres many actions that have direct effects in DA2 and will have effects in DA3.
You would be missing out to skip it.

What is awakening? How awful it looks. U didn't know what awakening is? Every-time when u got up early in the morning, splashing ur face with cold water, if it isn't it awakening then what it is?

Listen because i'm going to define awakening:
Awakening is an expansion pack (so it can't be another game) only for Dragon Age Origins. It has nothing to do with DLC's.

So now what makes u confuse? It is based on events after the end of the Blight when our warden is declared as Warden Commander of Ferelden.
