i dont think TIM was indoctrinated during ME2.....harbinger sought out powerful indivisuals and groups that it deemed appropriate for its mission...thats why harbinger chose to indoctrinate saren and the geth heretics in me1, and the collectors in me2 the illusive man and cerberus is a viable target because of their size, power and vast resources. Shepard eliminated saren..so harbinger switched to the collector general. when shepard eliminated him, harbinger need a new group to indoctrinate.

The Reaper in ME1 was Sovereign, not Harbinger.

They were honest about what they wanted and why. TIM's organization is now invading Earth alongside the Reapers. Good going guys.

Cerberus are not invading Earth. They've always resided here. Cerberus is humanity.

I think TIM considers Shepard a loose end that needs to be dealt with, nothing more. Consider this: Shep's on trial, he has to explain his actions; he's worked with Cerberus and talked to TIM himself; Shepard knows the organization, maybe too much.. It's not unreasonable for TIM to consider Shepard to be a liability.

Oh, excuse me, they're simply aiding the Reapers' invasion from within. How silly of me to make such a mistake. I should have known the pedants would focus on my wording and ignore the implication of what I'm saying.

TIM isn't simply trying to kill Shepard. Go listen to Casey Hudson in that video I posted on the last page. TIM and Cerberus are working with the Reapers.

the only reason TIM is being indoctrinated is because he is the leader of cerberus. the reapers can make good use of their resourses and personel

I think I watched that Sur'Kesh video enough times to get an idea of what's going on. Shepard's trying to escort a krogan female off-world to unite the krogan and forge a union between two species (not sure which species, I only know that humanity isn't getting anything from this.) Someone, possibly a traitor, tips Cerberus off about Shepard's location. TIM throws at Shepard troops (possibly indoctrinated) in order to slow him down (that's the only thing he's accomplishing, anyway), while the second Cerberus team (or rather, a stream of teams) tries to get to the female first.

TIM is either trying to secure the krogan for his own purposes or he's trying to prevent Shepard from getting her and creating a strong opposition for the Reapers. Maybe he disagrees with Shepard's methods of saving the galaxy. In this case, I'd like to see him do better. Let him deploy his plan. Something tells me that it's not such a good plan, since "critical mission failure" for Shepard means the victory of the Reapers.

It's possible that TIM is doing to Shepard the same thing Shepard was doing to Saren - since he hasn't got the slightest idea what to do and where to do, Shepard's simply following Saren right to the conduit, slaughtering his minions when they stand in his way. Maybe TIM is using Shepard as a lead, waits till Shepard finds something of interest, then slows him down with the troops and tries to snatch the mission objective before Shepard does.

It's sure not nice of him, not to mention that he could just ask, and that he might very well get Shepard killed with his methods (I expect to die quite a few times at the hands of his minions), but maybe TIM believes that he's the hero, and that he's got a better plan.

Well I feel that TIM was never an ally

Why?

He brought you back to life, provided you with a ship, weapons, tech, specialists (companions), a crew, information and helped you defeat the collectors.

Sounds like an ally to me.

A damn good one too. They supported Shepard far more than the Council did in ME1.

How do you know that cerberus working through the reapers are not tricking shepard into working for the reapers without having to damage him through indoctrination?

All we know is what TIM has told us. But how much of what he told us is true? Cerberus always seems to be ahead of the collectors and you....The only way this would be is if TIM is playing both sides. Cerberus is in the shadows ALL the time and from a writers point of view this means that there is somthing worth HIDDING from shepard that could in fact compromise there friendship/ally.

TIM maybe thinks Reapers will take humanity into a "higher order" of existance and wants to use the tech from Collector base to stop Shepard and prove humanity's worth to the Reapers so they'll take them?

TIM wants Shep out of the picture because I think the monolith that he touched few years back started effect him and now Harbinger is whispering to him,or maybe is just that he wants Normandy back because maybe EDI has kept some collector info for her self, or maybe even its just that Shepard was only needed to get collectors out of the picture and now he's expendable.

My theory is that Bioware needed some new canon fodder that the Reapers could use with the collectors gone and all so they were like "hey, let's use Cerberus. Who cares if it seems stupid that the only organization that was actually trying to fight the reapers is the first to be indoctrinated, no one will notice!"

Whoever said they want to kill you? Maybe the reason that countless Cerberus goons are chasing Shepard is because...

TIM wants a hug...

Because he's lonely...

TIM? Lonely?

He's the most ballin' space pimp this side of the universe. He couldn't be lonely even if he tried.

TIM is not indoctrinated period. All the novels and comics point to this fact, and what goes on in TIMs head is surely two things only: to destroy the reapers at any cost, and to secure humanity's dominance of the galaxy. This TIM is too interesting to be "collector generalized" in ME3.
