What's Your Biggest Pet Peeve Regarding Dragon Age 2?

I think my greatest peeve was that the story did not continue the tale of the Warden.  Hawke was not nearly as compelling as the Warden's tale, heck Isabella & Avaline were more compelling than Hawke. Too many games now a days use cliff hangar endings then never go back to resolve those points  (though in fairness, Dawn of War 2's THIRD expansion did finally, more or less, resolve the cliffhanger from Dawn of War (albiet 6 games later).  Before we get involved with an entirely new character if would have been awfully decent of them to at least finish the story.

1) What happened to the Warden after Witch Hunt
2) When are we going to learn Morrigan's fate and that of her child?
3) When are we going to see the Darkspawn again post Awakening?

I think my second greatest peeve was that, unlike Origins, there was no sense of dire urgency.  Nothing to make you think "well, maybe I'll just play 'a little longer'...".  Yeah, the last battle was kinda epic, but it still didnt hold a torch to the Battle of Ostagar/Battle of Denerim.

My last peeve was that I spent all of Dragon Age: Origins trying desperately to turn Ferelden into the ultimate cesspool for the sole purpose of seeing how much it would effect the world negatively in DA2, only to find out...nothing really mattered.  Its one of those 'then why bother having a save import?'  I just hope that all the evil choices in DAO and DA2 culminate into one wretched world when DA3 finally comes out.

I loved the voice acting, the animations, and the art direction, but I want more Darkspawn to fight.  I loved that Hawke was voiced, but Dragon Age 2 was a spin off, not a sequel. And now, according to the Dragon Age Wiki, the devs have stated they "never intend to bring Hawke or the Warden back as the main protagonist". Other blog posts state that Bioware is going to at least tell us what happened with Morrigan & the baby, meaning they wont necessarily be in the game itself.

Give us a proper sequel and not another freaking spin off!

The armor design i spent the whole game looking for that blasted green duster leather armor the elves wear. And all i ever found was that ugly black sweater armor

What I really hated about DA2 were the huge waves of enemies coming out of the freaking sky.
Spiders doing that in caves is fine. Spiders do that. One wave of bandits doing that in a trap after you take out their bait is fine, it seems within limit.
3 waves of people jumping off roofs, with no end in sight? That's just overkill and it feels like padding.

The timeline-we know next to nothing about the history of Thedas outside Kirkwall in the 10 year period-and on a number of occasions they seem to get things wrong.

The blasted camera. Let me pull back, zoom in and out and unlock it from the currently selected character so I can look at the battlefield and place aoe attacks. Arg.

Since I have to pick only one area I'll have to say something a bit vague to fit the most bang for my buck into my criticism. I choose "Streamlining."

The way the DA franchise was completely changed. Yes, the gameplay is isolated, simplistic and crap, but what annoyed me even more was the change of style, mood and spirit. There are two things that annoy me about that change:
1 - The changes themselves, which I consider Posted Image.
2 - And then how the changes feels soulless and cynically calculated. There is nothing genuine or cohesive about DA2's style. This is not a talented person's heartfelt vision. It's more like: "the big market we want for this game consists mainly of ***** people with *****  **** and ***** *****, and our research says that such persons like this and this".

The lack of a complete refund including postage upon realising that the piece of crap we had pre-ordered was something far worse than promised.

I have multiple large peeves with DA2. And they're a bit too feral to be considered pets! I'm actually too afraid of them to get close enough to measure them accurately, so it's just too dangerous to figure out which is truly the biggest.

But if I squint my eyes a bit, it's a tossup call between the reviled revised art style and the lack of companion interaction (limited dialog, no presents, etc).

But there's also that lack of companion armor customization that is also pretty big. And the mostly unappealing companions this time around is kind of standing in the shadows, and it's hard to tell if he's slouching or not: if he is then he might be about as big as the others. And the combat animations, reused areas, and waves have all been discussed a lot too. And the lack of non-combat quests (puzzles, diplomacy?) just lumbered around the corner and is starting to paw at the ground. He looks grumpy.

Crud. His buddy the return-to-sender quests just woke up and is huffing heavily in my direction.

Seriously, they are all looking at me with their hate-filled squinty little eyes as I'm telling you about them and I think that one is starting to shuffle around to get behind me! Look, there's more coming up from that side alley, and more still from the reused side-alley!

I'm out of here!

So does TW1 and 2. That's something they could all work on.

Can't pick 1

Maybe THE biggest is the companion lack of customization.

no, the dialog system.

Yes the dialog
