What I find weird, is that in DA:O he's younger than me, but in DA2 (and DA3) he's older than me. This I like.

maybe it's because of art and the length of time but it was hard for me to believe Carver and Bethany were 18 at the start of Dragon Age...

It's also a problem I see with Cassandra and Cullen they are likely in their late twenties to late thirties...how old is our protagonist?

Hard to say. I mean, the Warden was very young, but Hawke was in his/her twenties. It's a pity you can change the age based on appearance, because you could make Hawke look older than his/her mother but still be treated like a pup.

I found it intriguing, seeing more about Cassandra and how she may not be a cut and dry "mages are bad" kind of person. The film seemed to try and re-educate her a bit. I just wish... well that's a spoiler. And it seemed senseless to me. But on the whole I found it entertaining. That one mother was obvious from the start, though.

Second edit: Do I have bad breath or something? I seem to be killing this thread a lot lately. Anyhoo... we're about to have dinner. I'll be back in about an arn.

LOL frankly, I really prefer thirty something Cullen to 24yr old, unhardened Cullen. DA:O Culen is cute, but not really my type. The running away actually kinda annoyed me... [dodges tomatoes]

agree! I actually realły enjoyed it. I thought her storyline and good/bad history with mages was a little cliche, but nevertheless she was a good character... And SO badass. Re: timing, no one has ever said how old she was and when it was set exactly. I think someone told Danny that Cass is less than forty in 9:40 (which had been my guess). The Kirkwall events they mention happened in 9:21, so I had speculated that thè movie events were a few years later. So guessing 9:25ish. I had figured she was 16-20(Templars start their training at 15, Keran had been a recruit for 5 yrs already). Lets say 20ish. Then in the DA2 epilogue in 9:40, she would be 35?  

My thought on the book scene at the end is that it has to be much later than the rest of the movie. Whoever wrote that book... Hawke's story doesn't even start til 9:30. But who knows... Maybe folks are still talking about the Perrin takeover in Kirkwall in the 9:30s.

Also, forgot that DG said that this was "years earlier" than DA2, when Cassandra "was new."

And NOT stupid questions, because I think those are still open questions.
