R2s Muse, thanks :)
I would expect it to be a lot more personal, too.

LolaLei, agreed... But I can't see it being too different since he does end up sticking up for Hawke no matter Hawke's stance. That and Cullen always manages to be...nice and polite.

Maybe if your Hawke was pro-Mage/a Mage, then Cullen would say something like:

"Don't make me regret letting you go free Hawke." And your Hawke would respond appropriately based on his/her personality alignment (Diplomatic/Humorous/Aggressive.)

This is sort of what I was thinking, too, although an extra line acknowledging whether he let her go or made her Viscountess would be cool.

LOL Of course what I would most like to see is something like Hawke apologizing to him that he got busted and his life has sucked since then, all because he helped her out.  I'd like for her to have the opportunity to actually thank him for supporting her.

You know, it would be nice for him to be thanked! He obviously expects none, not out of lack of self-worth since he obviously gets a lot of respect from his fellow templars (when he stood against Mer. and they followed, I get the feeling it wasn't just because Mer. was absolutely crazy), he just doesn't expect anything for doing the right thing. <3 So yeah, I'd very much like this to happen XD

Do you think he stood in the Gallows courtyard after the Meredith attack and just thought:

"Maker, just once I wish something would go right. I knew I should've been a farmer."

He wouldn't have met any certain female mages if he was a famer. Posted Image

...And he wouldn't have the chance to meet his DA3 romance if he was a farmer. (You know, if he's in DA3 and a romance option. I'm rather hoping he is.)

You think he likes melons, do you?

Well, technically, pumpkins are gourds, but it was too good an opportunity to pass up.

Are pumpkins fruit or vegetable? Fruit because they have seeds right?

Same as tomatoes, they count as fruit too.

No it's just really physically draining when you go out in the field and harvest all of those pumpkins. I thought he was the type who liked to train? He would probably find it really rewarding both physically and mentally.

Hmm, thinking about it seriously. For example, imagine he gets thrust into a Fade dream about this, where suddenly he's shirtless and sweating as he toils away in his pumpkin patch. I could see him being lost in the single minded exertion of it, focusing on a job well done. But then there's something niggling at the back of his mind, didn't get have a great purpose at hand? Some bigger way in which he could contribute to the world?

Suddenly,  some enemy [bandits, darkspawn, something] attacks, and he busts out his awesome fighting skills,  using just his hoe. He's surprised and mutters to himself, "Farmers do that!". As he looks down the bodies surrounding him, the blood slowy seeping into his field, he thinks idly about how he'll have to let his field lay fallow next season and possibly forever. Then, he realizes this isn't what he's supposed to be doing.

... ah jeesh.. sorry that one ran away with me... I keep seeing my favorite scene in Long Kiss Goodnight, where Gina Davis is an amnesiac former assassin. She's clumsily cutting up veggies for dinner, and all the sudden gets good as some muscle memory comes back. "I must have been a chef!" she cries. Next thing you know, she throws a tomato up in the air and throws a carving knife at it, pinning it to the wall. As her family looks on in horror, she says uncertainly, "Chefs do that."
