MMG I love that idea!  Although oh rats, critical thinking, can't you just shut off....? But I can hear it now... "Oh? So girls only want to be the busomy, sexy Mage, huh? Why aren't we the two handed warrior...?" (LOL me among them, probably). They'd just have to do it well that there'd be no canon person, bro or sis.

Sorta similar to fanfics where both Marian and Garrett are around... Which is kinda cool.

Fr the trailer, I expect something badass and mysterious about the Inquisition. Basically that will be their chance to trade on their loaded title, and spin it the way they want. So I think the trailer will have to give a sense of what that word means for the game. With the usual bombastic voice over...

haha  Well, let's say you pick the sister as the PC, and pick her class (rogue) ... so brother automatically is a mage. Something like that. And if you give the sister red hair and brown skin, her brother gets the same (so no more Hawke and siblings not looking like one another).

I just imagined the start of the game having both and depending on how you make the canon chatacter look the other appears similar if not the same? Sort of like how Carver and Bethany change depending on your skin tone and stuff. Like if I'm playing a female rogue with blonde hair and blue eyes her male counter part looks the same, but er maybe with a beard.

Edit: R2 I read that quote and had the guy who does all the trailers in my head voicing it

So... In the scenario of sibs... Say you are the dude Inquisitor... Would it bother you that you're running around Val Royeaux with an NPC canon version of female you? Like you choose to customize a red headed Aveline Hawke, but then suddenly Garrett Hawke is locked into be Destny trailer m!Hawke, but with red hair...? Dunno, seeing how bent outta shape some folks get about canon even existing in any way...

Anyway, not to be Debbie Downer, just devil's advocate, I guess! . I must be depressed still from watching Prometheus for the first time just now..

LOL it probably means I misunderstood the original suggestion. I was talking about a scenario where in game you would have both sibs. So you pick the dude, customize him etc. and your sib is also alive and in game, but not playable. So like your Carver and Beth is alive. But in another playthrough you're Beth and Carver is alive. In either case, a sometimes player character (Carver in one case, Beth in the other) would have to be an NPC and therefore assigned some canon personality. 

Anyway that's me probably making it more complicated than it need be.

If he does turn out to be a companion in DA3, I will most definitely fan girl "squee", even though i try hard not to .
As much as I try to hide it, I am a fan girl (of both Cullen and Alistair <3).
But it wouldn't be something that I can hide if I hear the magic words "Cullen will be a companion and LI".
