The fact that he said "variety" sounds like a good sign, like there will be more than just 3 or 4 background choices. Perhaps there will be several choices within in each tier. I wonder if the option to be an Amell will come back? I dunno if I'd pick that option or not. I may be inclined to avoid it if Cullen is a romancable companion lol.
I'm liking this idea. Could have a rich background, poor background, military background...could be mage/rogue/warrior and maybe even warden could be mixed in there who knows! So many possibilities...like maybe even a Templar deflecting from the ranks...who knows! Loving this!

And I would bet money that DA3 would be postponed to early 2014. Of course, that's perfectly fine. If they need more time, they need more time. I'll be a bit sad and feel incredibly impatient (already feeling that right now lol) but we can all still attempt to wait as patiently as possible while hoping Cullen is a companion and LI until we hear news.

I wondered that too. I played DA2 not TOO long ago, and I don't remember my Male Hawke ever saying it...
Maybe a FemHawke says it? I don't know...I haven't played one in awhile.
I think I need to play it again.

I know in DA:O you say it and the LI said it back.
